Edwardsville Community Unit School District No. 7, IL•

Senior: Edwardsville High School has great academic programs. The school provides AP classes and dual credit enrollment classes through Lewis and Clark Community College. However, most classes, especially honors classes, are homework heavy. The sports and fine arts programs are excellent but very competitive. If you want to be in a sport in high school, you need to start doing the sport in kindergarten in order to make the team. The sports and fine arts programs require long hours at practices and competitions, so you can usually be involved in only one sport or fine arts program. The high school has about 2,000 students which means you constantly run into new faces. The building isn't really big enough to hold everyone. Some students had to eat lunch on the hallway floor because the cafeteria was too crowded, and some students have to be bussed to a separate building. Overall, my experience was pretty positive, and my suggestion to a new student at Edwardsville High School is to join clubs.... Read 422 reviews

Parent: NCA has been utterly transformative in the lives of our children. Three of our children are NCA graduates and two more are on their ways. This is a place where our children have been loved, nurtured, guided, and also challenged. They have been immersed in great literature and have engaged in hundreds of hours of thoughtful discussion, wrestling with ideas that have shaped and influenced them in profound ways. In a culture that is increasingly at odds with our Judeo-Christian beliefs, our children have learned how to discern Truth from error and then winsomely and humbly defend it. These are skills that will last them a lifetime and for which we are most grateful. The good, the true, and the beautiful is truly a part of the DNA of this school!... Read 14 reviews

Parent: Our daughter is in second grade and first time at LFCDS, she loves it. The community welcomed her with open arms! Highly recommend to families who are looking for the full package: both academically and holistically. The school does an amazing job of of guiding each student to find their own individual voice and make sure it’s heard!... Read 34 reviews
