Sophomore: I have truly enjoyed my experience at Archmere Academy. Coming from a large public middle school, to a small, Catholic school was a big transition for me. I love the academic opportunities at the school. Not only can I challenge myself and find classes that interest me, I also have teachers who are passionate about what they teach and are always willing to help students understand via one-on-one time, questions in class, or new lessons. I personally enjoy the arts program and the athletics program; both showcase the talent of the students and allows students to channel their energies. Parent: We have 6 children, all who have attended or still attend over the years. This is the education I wish I had received. I’m particularly fond of the grammar school emphasis on teaching the tools of learning through memorization, songs, and repetition. My kids learned logic and argumentation during the middle school years (and can beat me at most any debate), after which they study rhetoric and how to communicate by studying the classics and great orators. Most importantly to me is that our kids have learned to think, how to uncover worldview, as well as apply a Biblical understanding. Not only that, but the staff are loving toward our children, and we consider them friends. Senior: Gloucester County Institute of Technology is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I am currently a senior and am apart of the Baking and Pastry Arts program. This program has amazing teachers that teach you important things you need to know about your future career. I'm sure that goes with all of the other programs as well. The academics in the school could use some work. For example, the English classes test you on how you can read and answer questions from different articles, which is not what we learned throughout the semester. Senior: I began my journey at Kingsway as a junior in high school, I am now a senior about to graduate in a few months. The administration and staff are very welcoming and cordial to all students. The teachers are amazing and will not hesitate to help you when you need their assistance. Kingsway has great diversity and sports as well. The school has tons of clubs/activities so you can always find a way to keep yourself busy. Though it may be different because of covid, join these virtual or in-person clubs and activities so you can make great friends. Also, the lunch...is outstanding. I looked forward to it every day! Senior: Gloucester County Christian School educates from PreK 3 to seniors in high school. I have attended Gloucester for the past fifteen years and have enjoyed every moment. I have been able to make strong connections with peers and teachers. I have been able to excel in my classes because of great teachers who spend time explaining the concepts to us. I have also been able to excel on sports teams and music and speech groups because of the hard work that my coaches invested in me when they saw my potential. Parent: I can’t say enough amazing things about Harker! I am thoroughly impressed with the dedicated teachers and administrators at Harker! My 4th grade twins are just completing their first year there after moving from a highly ranked public school in Montgomery County, PA. I was extremely concerned about the lower ranking when we decided to make the move to Swedesboro but I couldn’t be happier with the strides my children have made in just one year! My daughter, who once struggled with reading, has improved her Lexile score by over 300 points and has become much more socially confident. My son, who has always done well, has continued to make tremendous strides in both math and reading. I am equally impressed with the elective courses “specials” that my kids have experienced including introduction to several world languages, poetry, and even did a squid dissection in science as 4th graders. Junior: Chester Charter School of the arts, is a great school with many opportunities. The faculty tries there best to understand the students there and what they can do to help. The school isn’t much but it’s the people in it, and that’s what makes it great. The environment is great and everyone gets along. The teachers also do there best to make sure the students get what they need even if the student doesn’t want help the teachers are always there. Niche User: My 2 grandchildren attend Concord Christian Academy. They started in K4 and the oldest is now in 3rd grade. I have felt blessed since day one when were leaving and the school secretary said a sweet goodbye to my granddaughter and used her name. I was impressed! I thank God every day for this school. The teachers are all very caring and go above and beyond to make sure the students succeed. They are available to us anytime via text, phone or in person. Any issues or problems are handled right away. It's very diverse and like a family. Our 2nd and 3rd grader are learning things their 4th grade friend is not taught in public school. Nothing but positive things to say and feel about CCA. Also for a school this size there are good sports, art, computer, gym, music and language classes for all! Parent: We were searching for a school with excellent academic opportunities and with a clear mission in line with our values. Friends instill the Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship into their lessons so that my child learns social intelligence and responsibility. My generally reserved child has honestly become more adept at conflict resolution and expressing opinions in a respectful and direct way than I am. He also engages in critical thinking about various social issues, has hands-on exploration in nature (I can now identify a slime mold in the woods he learned from nature club), uses various technologies (internet safety is also taught/valued), has used many art mediums and music instruments (plays recorder and takes voice lessons in their music school), he has become more confident is speaking Spanish to our family and we are impressed with the caliber of the teaching staff —see their site for more information....
