Madison High School
Sophomore: From my limited experience, Madison seems to be an relatively good school. Obviously, it is a small town and small school, and that plays in to many dynamics- not the most extensive options you'll find anywhere, nor some of the big budget things larger schools do- but there is still plenty for an aspiring student to be kept busy. You'll get an education- not something from a gifted program, no, but still a valid education nonetheless. I would enjoy if they honors programs for sophomores, but I will take advantage of the dual credit option through DSU. There's a good chance you see the same kids throughout the day. The staff is great- friendly, knowledgeable. They do their jobs well. The sports and theater programs are pretty good. The grounds are definitely not bad. There is a very nice kitchen/culinary program. Open lunch period for 10th and up is enjoyed by many. I haven't heard of any drug problems, nor fighting.
