Parent: Fantastic experience at LC. This is a very warm, happy place where my son feels confident to explore anything on offer. The writing program is excellent, the academics are top notch, the sports are better and better every year. LC has a gift for accepting cool, down to earth bright kids who work hard and have fun. The kids here seem genuinely kind and supportive of each other, though this is a group of high achieving, highly academic and competitive students. Some schools have more traditionally recognizable names but LC feels like a welcoming community. My son has made truly interesting and impressive friends, no drama, just motivated, cool kids.... Alum: I graduated from Suffield Academy in 2018 after attending the school for three years. Suffield is one of the most welcoming places a student could attend, with ample opportunity to get involved, improve on all aspects of curriculum, and meet lifelong friends. Suffield truly cares about their students and faculty. Even two years later I miss my time there, and continue to build on relationships I made at Suffield! As a Suffield Tiger, be prepared to engage in all aspects of the community, academics, athletics, the arts, and clubs. Students are encouraged to participate in the fields in which they excel in, as well as challenging them to try something new with overwhelming support! This is absolutely a school to consider for high school/college prep. If you are looking at other similar schools, you truly will not find one like Suffield Academy.... Read 238 reviews

Sophomore: I enjoy Kingswood Oxford School a lot, there are thousands of wonderful experienced offered there. From sports to academics everyone has there own place. I enjoy how much the teachers pay attention to you, not just through your work but actively seeking to help you throughout your high school journey. Many students thoroughly enjoy the community space that is made at Kingswood Oxford, and continue to come during alumni events or even to teach. The school culture has given me a great experience in college readiness and clubs & activities. All faculty encourage students to join clubs or start their own! It is a great space to learn and is completely inclusive to all no matter what you are interested, if they don't hold the courses for you then surely GOA does. The involvement between the students, parents, teachers and faculty is stressed highly in the community and helps to make the experience great.... Read 42 reviews

Parent: Commonwealth Academy is above and beyond what anyone could possibly imagine for their child. We needed to find a small, specialized school so that our daughter could thrive and succeed. It was a thrill to find such an inclusive atmosphere filled with dedicated administrators and teachers. My daughter has an anxiety disorder and OCD. Every single teacher CARES. The combination of education, creativity and fun that they have created is unmatched. The classrooms are small and kids with every learning difference are treated with respect and patience. Without the chaos and fear of a big school, our daughter got past the nerves that held her back and learned to speak to adults and advocate for herself. She had warm and nurturing advisors who saw her potential and appreciated her strengths - they gave her CONFIDENCE. The education and unparalleled college prep she received from C/A is why she's thriving in college today, and why our younger daughter is now a C/A student.... Read 11 reviews

Works Here: Westminster is a wonderful community and school. I had a chance to get to know the school prior to joining the faculty and was struck by how welcoming everyone was and the strong commitment to individualized and holistic education. The school's small size and many offerings allow students to challenge themselves in a supportive environment, pursue their passions, and just as importantly try new things. Being a part of their journeys and seeing them transform into confident, well-rounded, and passionate young adults, who are ready to make their future communities better, is incredibly rewarding. I look forward to seeing Westminster continue to evolve to help students prepare to take on an ever-changing world.... Read 72 reviews

Parent: While sending my daughter to study abroad, I worried about her life and academics very much. However, the teachers and dorm parents in this school proved that my choice is correct! With the combined efforts, the school as a whole improved our daughters physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. This year, my kid is accepted by the Boston University, and I'm so proud of her! Without the generous help/recommendations from school teacher she couldn't get so many great offers, there is no doubt that SCA is one of the best boarding schools in the state.... Read 42 reviews

Junior: Junior at East Catholic. Had a lot of issues with the school involving the administration, but President Sean Brennan has done an amazing job fixing the place up! Parent: These teachers care deeply! They get involved when students misbehave or mistreat one another. They intervene and even pray with the students. My son has been attending from Kindergarten to 3rd grade and will continue through to 12th grade. The pledge of allegiance is said every morning. Respect for all people is taught and modeled. Homework is kept to a minimum to prioritize family time. While my son is only in 3rd grade, I've still seen academic rigor proportional to the grade. Some students were reading independently in 1st grade and others had extra reading sessions with a volunteer! There is music, art, and chapel weekly. There is a student band that leads worship! My son sometimes tells me when students misbehaved and caused his team to lose during PE. In each story, I've found the teacher response to be refreshingly appropriate and personal. I give my highest recommendation for this school! You and your kids will love it!... Read 36 reviews

Senior: Windsor Locks High School was very inclusive. There were many different clubs or extracurricular activities you could join such as soccer, football, track, LGBTQ, homework club, tennis, and many more. They made everyone feel like they belonged and had a place in the school where they could express themselves. The teachers were also very welcoming and had open arms whenever you needed to talk to someone. For me, my guidance counselor is the one I would go to when I felt stressed about any of my classes but for others they would talk to their english teacher or history teacher. Everyone in the school is very helpful. Overall I give Windsor Locks High School a 9/10 for rating.... Read 93 reviews

Parent: This is our seventh year at Corpus Christi School and we are thankful for the opportunities our children are given to grow and develop into caring, empathetic, and well-rounded individuals. The families we have met through CCS have become like family and we feel lucky to call them our friends. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the adminstation and teachers have gone above and beyond to be sure that our children continue to learn, all the while making their health and safety a priority. Our kids love the after school program, where they get to engage in a variety of supervised activities with friends and get their homework done. Over the past couple of years, the number of extra curricular activities (of all sorts) has increased drastically. I highly recommend Corpus Christi School to any family looking for a nurturing environment for their child(ren) to learn, develop, and grow.... Read 12 reviews

Parent: I like that the school is diverse and very clean they did excellent during covid. Uniforms where I slight bit mor expensive than expected but they do last depend on how your child grows. My child does have a little issue with school lunch although it's not bad, culturally our food is just different, so I suggest giving your kid lunch from home, if possible, maybe twice a week to get them comfortable. all the teachers even the ones that are not interactive with my child do to grade differences, still know her and that stood out. Sophomore: My time at Johne H. Bayne elementary was very fun and exciting. I loved every minute of it. My teachers were very determined to teach me and the rest of the students who attended and I was very eager to learn. Some classes were challenging but that was only because my teachers really pushed me to work harder than I did before. My principal really care about her students. She was compassionate and really wanted us to do something great with our lives. She made sure everyone was okay and was here for her students when something was bothering us. If we needed someone to talk to she was always around. If I could go back to elementary school and start over, I would. Parent: Veritas has been such a good fit for our family. Coming from a homeschooled background, we were concerned how our child would do there all day. My child looks forward to being at school everyday and especially in his classroom with his teacher. Our son feels totally safe there and had no separation anxiety. Every morning my child excitedly ran to greet the administrators at the door. He loved that he could start his day by racing them to be the first to say hello. He also loves going to memory period. He has grown so much this year. His teacher is bright, loving, fun and very patient. She takes them outside several times a day, gives them snack time and miraculously gets them to nap. It is amazing how much better his reading and social grace has gotten too. They have an excellent classical curriculum delivered in love. The teachers are very invested and the small class sizes guarantee personal attention. We also love the other parents. This family community is priceless!... Read 112 reviews
