Senior: Greenwood is a very small school but still has plenty of resources. Located in the center of Missouri State's Campus, students have access to college classes of their choice and to use the University's facilities like the student union, library, etc. The school itself has very small class sizes, most not exceeding 20 students. The teachers are friendly and will often know each student by name. The academics are strong but also incorporate important skills within the curriculum like public speaking and research citations. While they don't have every sport big schools do, there is still passionate school spirit...Read 37 Reviews

Senior: I grew up in the catholic school system, and there have been excellent experiences. Most students are focused academically and athletically, which motivates incoming students. Most teachers genuinely care about the student's futures and are great role models. The academic rigor has prepared me well for my future, and I am glad to go to this school. The rules can sometimes be hard to follow but build great character. Going to this school does open opportunities because the counselors constantly form connections and opportunities for students...Read 131 Reviews

Alum: As a former student of Rise Hybrid Private Academy, I highly recommend to anyone debating to enroll! Not only did this Academy enable me to excel both in and out of the classroom, but the students/teacher became family. Students receive an unparalleled education while still having fun! I will forever cherish my memories of AP Biology dissection labs, the field trip to Washington DC, even one on one math (which wasn’t my strong suit🤣yet it is still a major memory, proving the impact of this school and teacher!), Secret Santa during the holidays, and many more. Through this Academy, I established a foundation in advanced education as well as life skills such as communication, time management/efficiency, and work ethic. I would not be the person I am today had I not enrolled in Rise Hybrid Private Academy!...Read 10 Reviews

Parent: Our children began their enrollment at The Summit in the Early Learners program at 3 and 5 years old. We chose The Summit after interviews and tours of other area schools. The Summit's focus on progressive education geared toward the individual learner along with small classes were what made us take a tour. We have been at the school for two years now and plan to continue for years to come. Our kids have been thriving in a hands on learning environment versus learning from a textbook. As a parent, I love that our kids get quality education which also includes daily Spanish, music, art and even yoga! I also appreciate the many forms of communication we receive through the weekly Raven Report, text updates, classroom blog emails complete with photos of our kids and open communication and timely responses from both teachers and administration. We are loving The Summit difference!...Read 28 Reviews

Freshman: At Nixa High School, I'm involved in sports and notable academic classes. The athletics are a great environment and always do well. At Nixa, you even if you aren't involved in sports, there are plenty of other ways to get involved such as band, choir, and after school clubs! Nixa's academics are good, but they're also expanding, and getting even better. They have recently added more AP classes and the AP Honor roll, which looks great on College Applications. One thing Nixa could improve on is diversity and adding the IB program or having weighted grades...Read 266 Reviews

Senior: My experience with New Covenant Academy was excellent! I have attended New Covenant Academy since I was in kindergarten to my current senior year of high school. New Covenant Academy has provided me with a positive and uplifting high school experience that has well-prepared me for college. The teachers and faculty are dedicated to creating an encouraging environment and growing students to their full potential. The campus offers many sports such as baseball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, cross country, basketball, golf, and swimming. There are also many clubs and activities to participate in. The small atmosphere has allowed me to build strong relationships with my fellow classmates and teachers. I feel very well prepared for college and look forward to my future!...Read 34 Reviews

Junior: The staff at Kickapoo are absolutely wonderful! I only give it four stars because every school has its problems. Also, their bathrooms absolutely stink...Read 351 Reviews

Parent: I am a single mom with one daughter currently in the 4th grade. She has been attending SLS since pre-k. I cannot explain how wonderful this school has been for her both spiritually and academically. Not only does she thrive in this loving, Christ-centered environment; she also excels academically and is on the same level as her 5th grade friends in public school. I truly think the school has given her the safety and confidence she needs to flourish that she couldn’t find in public school . All the students and staff know and care for one another. I’m sure it’s a difficult financial decision for many families to pay for school (I know having a single moderate income) but it is totally worth it for my family. To obtain a strong foundation early in school is very important to us and I can’t express my gratitude enough to SLS!...Read 2 Reviews

Parent: While the building is old, it is also one of the most affordable private schools I have seen. They put their money first in the teachers and resources for students. The small classrooms are so wonderful for kids, whenever they need help it’s easy access and they have an extra teacher that helps any student whenever they need. The staff and teachers are just amazing and so easy work with and communicate with. They will work with you in just about any subject or issue you may be working through with your kids. They love their kids so much and it shows. Everyone knows everyone and it is a great culture in the school. While they may not have the funds to offer many extra curricular they are thriving in their daily curriculum. If you are looking for a Christian environment that will teacher kids Christian values and conservative values this is such a great place...Read 3 Reviews

Parent: Both of our kids started at The New School in ninth grade, after eight years of public school. It was one of the best parenting decisions we've ever made. Everything about this school is terrific. The teachers are passionate, inspired, and inspiring. Small, topics-driven, seminar-style classes foster creativity and independent thinking, while the welcoming atmosphere makes everyone feel at home. Our two kids turned out to be very different kinds of learners, but both thrived at The New School. Our youngest graduates next year, and we'll be sad to think of not having that day-to-day connection. Can't say enough about this wonderful school!...Read 26 Reviews
