Senior: What I like most about White River High School is the support for music, arts, athletics, and clubs from both the school and community. Not only are these activities an outlet for so many students, but also a focal point for the pride WRHS displays regarding the achievements of their students. Although WRHS has one of the highest graduation rates in the state, much of the focus is directed towards achieving this high rate instead of challenging students by preparing them for college level courses. While there are many AP and honors courses offered at WRHS, the actual focus on college readiness is often overshadowed by the goal of getting high scores on exams. Overall, I've had a great experience in my last three years at WRHS, but I do believe there are steps that should be taken in order to provide the best education and opportunity for each individual student.
