Parent: My son is truly happy at Oxford Academy. Academically is it a dream! His teachers challenge him but are willing to slow things down if it appears he is struggling (you won't find that in a traditional school). This can allow for extra review in an area so that the concepts become clearer before moving on (that is key to a student with ADHD). The parent portal is excellent with weekly reviews and term reports. Each teacher explains (in detail) what is involved with the day-to-day class time explaining what they worked on and how they approached solutions to help the student understand and be successful. Being that the ratio is 1:1 students are 100% accountable so there's no excuse for not understanding what's expected. The standards are high, consistent and fair. Senior: I liked the small student population and activities. The school is rather informal and you can have a large amount of freedom. For such a small school, there are many activities and clubs to participate in. The new career connection center is useful because it allows students to find internships and do activities such as mock interviews and resume workshops. There is a very large amount of classes offered and most people are friendly. Most teachers are nice and fine at teaching. Middle School Student: I am a current 8th-grade student here, I joined in 7th grade after covid hit, and it's safe to say it was the best decision of my life. I have made so many wonderful friends and I am very sad to leave them and start my high school career. I would 100% recommend this school to any parent looking for a school for their child. You could join in 8th grade and still feel like you have known these people all your life. I am very grateful for this experience and I am very sad it is coming to an end so soon. We are leaving for the 8th grade Utah trip on May 31st, which will be my last day at this school except for graduation. I will most definitely cry. Love this school!... Read 29 reviews

Parent: We LOVE Saint John School. The teachers care about their students and go above and beyond to make sure students have a personalized instructional experience. Students receive the perfect balance of innovative and classical instruction- teaching important skills from yesterday while incorporating new strategies and technologies of today. The school also offers so many wonderful extracurriculars that allow all kids to be well-rounded and shine in their interests. Most importantly, Saint John's Catholic formation is a vital part of the school community that not only teaches students about their faith, but also helps them live Christ's teachings. SJS is a wholesome environment that provides students with a positive social emotional experience, allowing students to safely learn and grow to be Christ's ambassadors to the world. Parent: My children have thrived at OLM Prep. One has since graduated and the faculty at the high school have commented on how prepared he was with regards to time management, attentiveness and overall level of respect for faculty and peers (all developed at his time at OLM Prep). The small classroom environment and incredibly qualified faculty make it possible for every child to reach their individual potential. Parent: We walked on campus three years ago seeking a school that would be a true fit for our son. We felt at ease with the conversations we had with various staff. Parent: The teachers love and respect the students. The personalized attention to each student is exceptional, as is the communication with parents. Both of my children loved the elementary school, especially the field trips. The independence and organization skills learned here are life long skills. High School Senior: Because the average class size is three people, students from all grades become close, almost like family. The small size enables more student teacher interaction, and the teachers always make time to help the students if need be. Everyone is friendly and caring.
