Junior: My St. Mark's experience so far has been great. The smaller sized classes allow for more individual attention and better communication between the students and teachers. There are also many opportunities available to students from community service to leadership positions. As a boarder, the dorm atmosphere is great and I've met many of my friends there!...Read 48 Reviews

Alum: I am a loyal Alumnus who now works at Cushing. When I was here as a student over 30 years ago this school embraced me as a youngster looking to find his way as a young freshman who needed a lot of guidance, structure & support. The support I got then is the same support that I see students getting now. Our faculty and staff are very hands-on and attentive to student needs and learning styles. We have an advisory system in place that has built-in checks and balances to make sure the students get the support they need & do not get lost. The student to faculty ratio is such that all students are respected and known for who they are and what they bring to our community. The true meaning of our mission statement, which reads - Cushing exists for students and develops curious, creative and confident learners & leaders has not been more evident for a long time. Cushing's future is bright and I am very proud to be a part of this community again as a faculty member and loyal Alum. Go Penguins!...Read 100 Reviews

Senior: I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Westborough High School. I've made some of my closest friends while attending this school. I've been a three season athlete for four years at this school and the sports at Westborough are all competitive and the coaches are welcoming and encouraging. One thing that I would like to see change at the High School is the teachers application of their subjects to the real world since I think that evokes more engagement from students and more willingness to learn. However, I have been told by my siblings and other graduates of Westborough High that the expectations and education at WHS is comparable to work in college and some aspects are even more challenging than college education. I am confident that I will be successful in college partially because of the high level of education I had the pleasure of experiencing at Westborough High...Read 218 Reviews

Alum: Walnut Hill Provides young people with a chance to hone their craft and live their dream every day of the week. Academics are brilliant and have small focused classes. You don't sacrifice any of your academics for arts here; you get it all. ...On the downside- I attended Walnut Hill for my junior and senior years. Before that I attended one of the most underfunded public schools in the nation. Bringing a bunch of "big-fish-small-pond", talented, young people together... having them live together, attend every class together-- creates a level of immaturity and selfishness I had never experienced. The students here represent the utter lack of compassion and perspective- the literal problem with America. I had to remind myself to separate from the constant drama and focus on why I was there-- the music...The music is truly incredible. No other high school works with a real Conservatory (NEC), and no other high school will prepare young musicians better than Walnut Hill.Read 78 Reviews

Middle School Student: The students in Gibbons, as well as the faculty and administrators make the transition from elementary school to middle school fairly easy and I was able to take it in a stride. The students there are so supportive and amazing, and heard about a student being teased or bullied in Westborough. The one thing that I could criticize about this school is its academics. The school offers honors courses in math. However, for the academically gifted student who could easily take an 11th or 12th grade course in 7th grade, Gibbons was simply too easy. I was able to effortlessly get As or A+s in my core classes, while many of my friends struggled to get B's in the same classes that I aced. As an eighth grader, I believe the school needs more academic levels, but that is a completely biased opinion...Read 8 Reviews

Sophomore: I love it here it is very nice and people are friendly. There are some things at the school that are very strange like no walking on the grass or you will get a detention but overall a great school. Before COVID I applied to be in the class of 24 and while sports are very competitive and downright obsessive, it is a great school to learn and quiet spaces like gac or the Gregory academy center is a great spot to learn during a free block. The food definitively sucks and the lunch allotted time period is awful. It is strict but teachers are great and the facilities are decently new with founders at the time of this being written being six years old and ryken being about 15 and the main building being around 60 years old but refurbished often and state of the art. The robotics team being one of the best in the world...Read 122 Reviews

Parent: Our family wishes to pay the highest of compliments to Hillside School for the management of its Spring ’20 Trimester! When academic classes at Hillside resumed online on Monday, March 30, Hillside’s faculty performed with excellence, as if the school had been operating with remote learning for quite some time. Our family was incredibly impressed with the overall effectiveness of Hillside’s remote learning program. And the continuity of curriculum throughout the Spring ’20 trimester exceeded our expectations!...Hillside School set a date & time to launch remote learning of Monday, March 30, 2020 at 8:15 am to noon. Then, from Monday, March 30 through the last week of May, the consistency of his school day was just what we hoped for. Academic lessons began right at 8:15 am and continued up until noon. Our children have thrived and explored different options they would have never been interested in -thanks to the outstanding faculty and their words of encouragement. Senior: I liked the merge with St. Peter Marion HS. I was able to see friends that I went with to a previous school again. It made us feel like a larger community. It wasn't as difficult that I thought it would be. The transition actually went pretty smooth. We got to meet new teachers and new kids too. And the name change to St. Paul occurred when I was there. I can actually say I attended the very first year of a newly named school. The merger also brought new ideas of how to manage classes and focus on what we needed as students. Our input was included on what we thought would help and benefit us all. ...I have learned a lot while attending this school. I have actually opened up more to be involved with others and my junior and senior years have been the best so far. I look forward to graduating in May and what my future holds. I've been accepted to several Colleges and that's exciting. St. Paul has guided and encouraged me to do what will be best for me. Thank you St. Paul. I'm grateful!...Read 3 Reviews

Parent: I have a very bright student that needed organizational skills. I could not have found a better school for my son. It took a few years and a few dedicated teachers, but my son now totally owns his own work. There are fewer and fewer lost papers and rarely a missed assignment. The middle school math and social studies teachers really truly try to push and get the best out of their students. These teachers are outstanding. There are a few teachers that just slide by and do the minimal amount of work. The only thing lacking is sports. The school has basketball and track and it puts everything it has into the basketball program. The PE teacher is great. Parents get too involved when their child doesn’t “make the right team”. Problem with the parents and not the school...Read 4 Reviews

Parent: I feel very lucky and blessed to have found this gem of a school. Coming from the Middle East in the middle of the academic school year made finding the right school very overwhelming and worrisome. The day I stepped into Atrium I knew this was what we were looking for. The way they welcomed my son and even me in this community is something I will never forget. It’s extraordinary how teachers, administrators, and literary all the parents from all the grades welcomed our family. I have never seen such a loving, accepting and warm community. The head of school is unlike any person you will meet, he understands the power of words and follows it with actions. Marshall is very attentive to each family...Academia is very important to our family, and I was pleased to see that they have such a unique way of teaching. In Atrium, your child will grow in a kind environment that focuses on empathy and unity. And of course a lot of FUN! My son could not be happier with his school!Read 9 Reviews
