Strafford High School
#35 Best Public High Schools in Missouri

Sophomore: Strafford is a small school, but I feel as though that is one of its benefits. The teachers and staff want you to succeed in life. They are active in all the students and push them to be the best that they can be. They try to get as many students as possible active in the community and in other activities. They offer lots of opportunities for every student and a chance to improve in certain areas.

Alum: Marshfield High School is a very decent school for being in a rather small community. The school, especially the high school, is really the proud jewel of the town, to some extent. It has very polished facilities and good efficacy as a learning institution. There are numerous problems, most small in the grand scheme, but overall, nothing foundation breaking. The school runs well, and it has for a while. It just needs to care less about private funding, more about a well-rounded learning environment that supports all tracks of learning, especially those in the arts, and could benefit from an interwoven counseling system with the other schools and with mental health programs in town. Beyond that, my only issues spring from my own time there, and it's nothing against the school as much as the students in attendance. I would recommend this school to someone within Webster County.

Fordland High School

Alum: We were all like family there. The small town helped form the very close-knit community that I call family. I liked the students I graduated with and the teachers and faculty alike. The school administrators made the activities all-inclusive and strongly encouraged student participation in clubs and Advanced Placement classes. Their goal was to promote student success and honestly they did an excellent job. They prepared us for college and even were ranked one of the top fifteen best high schools in Missouri. The safety they practiced made it an excellent school to be enrolled in, and was comforting knowing my younger siblings were in good hands. I honestly enjoyed high school and when I transferred to a community college it just wasn't the same. Overall, if I have the privilege of raising a family on my own in the future, I would definitely send my children to this school when they were of age. Their curriculum is excellent and I graduated with above a 4.0 GPA.

Senior: Overall, my experience at Logan-Rogersville High School has been amazing. I have been in this school district my entire schooling career and enjoy the community that this school creates. However, the area that this school lacks in is college preparation. There could be some serious improvements to better prepare students for college.
