Senior: Choosing this high school was one of the best decisions of my life! From amazing teachers to peers that support and get along with each other, High Technology High School provided me with the best possible high school experience I could have asked for. The academics are rigorous but manageable, and the clubs provide great opportunities to meet and become friends with others who share your interests. The hour long lunch in the middle of every day is a perfect time to get some extra studying done as well as generally hanging out with friends. I have met so many great people by going to this school, and I believe that I changed for the better having gone here over my home high school. Senior: I really enjoyed the academics at Biotech, although the classes were definitely difficult. I felt that I was being pushed past my limit at times, feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. Some of my friends had bad experiences with staff members, and the mental health and morale of the school could definitely be improved. I would like to see some change in those areas, possibly through more peer meetings to talk about mental health or something similar. Parent: My son started at Ranney this fall and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. We feel so fortunate that our son has teachers who challenge him, recognize his potential, and help him to be the best version of himself every day. While the academics are incredibly strong, administrators/staff focus on the social-emotional learning as well. Kindness, empathy, and respect are woven into the fabric of the Ranney culture and are actively modeled by administrators and staff. Perhaps the most important gift that Ranney has given our son is happiness. He wakes up every morning excited to go to school. He comes home and excitedly talks about his day, his learnings, and his peers. It is the greatest feeling to know that your child not only feels connected to his school community, but is also valued for who he is within that community. Junior: I really like this school because of the opportunity it gives me to study health care from every angle. I have learned about the history of medicine, standard protocols used in health care, the anatomy and physiology of the body, the impact of nutrition on the body, etc. I also enjoy attending my school because of the people at the school! My teachers make learning fascinating and support their students in any way they can, academically or otherwise. In addition, I enjoy spending time with my peers, as they encourage me to do my best academic work, serve as people who I can relate to, and make me feel like I belong at the school. One action I would take to change my school would be to enlarge its campus. The size of the campus makes the hallways feel very crowded and limits the space for students to play games and sports outside. Sophomore: I love this school so so so much. I could not be happier attending any other school. I really feel like the community makes it easy to feel heard and respected by my classmates. I love my teachers, classmates, advisors, coaches, etc. I also really like the sports culture. I have not played with girls as respectful, uplifting, and motivated as the girls playing on the sports teams at Trinity Hall. I also feel that I've found a passion for learning upon my admission at this school. Senior: When I transferred to Red Bank Catholic early my sophomore year, I had not idea what to expect. The school was far from home, and I didn't know anybody I'd be attending with; I was basically starting fresh. Despite my uncertainty, it became clear very quickly that RBC is the place where I belonged. Coming from a public high school meant a steep reduction in class size, which made the process of getting to know people far less daunting. As a private school, RBC has student come from all over, so a culture of welcoming and accommodation was more than prevalent. The robust athletic programs made finding my place much easier; definitely a school for athletes, joining a team at Red Bank Catholic is a sure way to make friends for life. What is by far the most important aspect however is RBC's stellar education and college preparation. Junior: I love St.Rose High School! The teachers and staff are extremely welcoming. They really help and guide you through your education. The teachers work with you and make sure you truly understand their lesson. They will stay after class or even school to teach you the lesson. I love that you can just be yourself. St.Rose treats you like you are family. It is a tight-knit community with many opportunities. St.Rose has a great science and math department. They have up-to-date technology which really helps students learn to their best ability. St.Rose was excellent with students and their education during the pandemic. Since the beginning of the school year, there was in-person learning. Students were able to go in full days where they were able to get the best education possible. When we had to go virtual, all the teachers were great with the online learning. teachers helped each other with technology so they could give their students great education. Senior: Coming to this school was honestly the best desicion I could have ever made in my entire life. The teachers here are all so friendly and really want you to strive in order to do your best. They have all prepared me so much in so many ways and thanks so them, I now have a job with a police department lined up for me right when I get out of high school. In the school, we did fun activities like learning how to handcuff, motor vehicle stops, creating search warrants, projects on gangs, and so much more. Everyone who works here created such a great envoriment that I can't be more excited to wake up and go to school everyday. Middle School Student: Oak Hill Fully prepared me for my applications to high school. Also the teachers took time after school to help me prepare for the SSAT. I know a lot of people who move into great schools after leaving. Also my writing skills went up a lot of moving to Oak Hill. Anyway if you have child, you should sent them to Oak Hill.
