Junior: Through East Central High school I've been gaining many experiences only some people would dream. I'm going into my junior year and am participating in several clubs and on track to graduate with a associates degree in science of liberal arts. Since our school is paired with ivy tech it has become increasingly easy to get far in the world early and a little bit of effort goes far. There's over a thousand students and you will be able to find your place here. Love the school and teachers and the students who do their best!... Read 298 reviews

Parent: With two boys in school here, I love it! Friendly staff all of which have been very helpful. I was volunteering in my son's kindergarten class for a year and I enjoyed the experience of working with the children first hand. I saw that they recently updated their website Abd I appreciate that because it makes getting answers to questions and information in school events so much easier. So far my youngest has played wrestling, swimming and football with this school. He has the most fun with football and can't wait for the upcoming season. My oldest has played baseball and he also is excited to play again next season.... Read 1 review

Parent: Oakcrest has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow. Since she arrived in 8th grade, she has grown and blossomed into a more Godly, confident and well-learned young lady. Oakcrest is a rarity in this area: an academically rigorous school that also puts a premium on Godly character development. Plus, Oakcrest truly looks to partner with parents in the education of their daughters, and has many events planned to grow and strengthen parents and families throughout the year - a win/win for all of us! The teachers and support staff are amazing, as is the new campus. Everyone connected with this school from top to bottom is amazing! If you are seeking a challenging academic environment for your daughter, where she can make life-long friends, grow in her faith, and have her character formed for THE BETTER - Oakcrest is your place. Our family is forever blessed because of this school!... Read 128 reviews

Senior: I think Harrison High is excellent academically! The teachers do a fairly good job of preparing kids for college and readying them for life after highschool. There are many things that could be improved on, though. The big thing is the facilities (for both the junior high and high school), which are in poor shape. Everything is very outdated and many classrooms don’t even have decent/matching desks for students to work on. They look like they would be used for elementary classrooms because of how small they are. The bathrooms often have broken sinks or missing stall doors and the junior high does even have air conditioning for the 80-degree-late-summer weather, which causes health issues for many kids. Overall, good academic classes with various levels and many options, great teachers, but even then it’s hard to learn in a rundown, outdated environment... Read 140 reviews

Parent: This school is amazing, the staff are so wonderful and have fully prepared my kids for the future. After graduating St. Ignatius my son is on first honors at the local Jesuit high school and he said that St. Ignatius taught him how to balance studying and homework so well that high school doesn't stress him out. The staff have cared for my children like their own and have always been amazing!... Read 9 reviews

Parent: Scecina's strength is its small size and strong community. For many kids, the opportunities to play sports is a top priority for choosing Scecina. Although it was not ours, our son has flourished in both varsity tennis and volleyball. He's enjoyed the feeling of being "known" in the school--by the staff as well as other students. He knows that he can talk to his teachers for extra help when he needs it, but he also knows that they won't let him slide by without a push to do his best. As it's a small school, there are some limits to the class offerings, which has been disappointing, but the fact that they carefor the student as a whole person is evident from the moment you step in the front door.... Parent: Choosing Lutheran was the best decision we could have made for our family! The boys are getting the academic push they need in the classroom as well as more one on one attention from teachers because of the small class sizes. As a parent I love the ease of communication between myself and the school and I am never left in the dark about anything…from the kids grades, to upcoming events, to sports, daily announcements and changes in the schedule. The kids are able to be involved in a number of different activities and the small school allows them to feel more a part of a family then just a number in a crowd. They are freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors together on and off the field, in and out of the classroom, eating lunch together, volunteering together, and worshiping together. Lutheran is more than a school, it is a family. It is a community that welcomed us in as strangers and instantly made us feel at home. It was the best decision we could have made.... Read 115 reviews
