Senior: The staff actually cares about you and is willing to sit down and have a conversation with you. The curriculum that is being taught is also very interesting and challenging, when compared to a public school system's learning. The only thing that I would change is how the discipline is done. I had a miserable start to high school due to some bullying, and nothing was done about it. However, I am strong-willed and got past it. Overall, MCS is a great school...Read 42 Reviews

Parent: My kids have been attending Basis since before the pandemic, and we are so impressed! Rich academic curriculum, good inclusion of the arts, excellent opportunity for differentiation based on student needs. The teachers are dedicated and so are the parents to the kids' success. While the administration has been bumpy as the school has gotten established (only 5 years old), they earned their stripes during the pandemic. Organized, safety-focused and diligent about communication. We supplement school with sports leagues and scouting outside of school, which many parents do. Easy to do given the extensive choice you have in the DC area. Also appreciate the international study body with impressively bright students from all over the world. A real meritocracy, unlike other private schools that admit based on VIP status or connections/donations. In the next few years, this school will only continue to advance its place in the rankings...Read 43 Reviews

Junior: Mifflinburg is your typical high school. You have the obvious cliques, the food is nothing special, but the teachers are actually really good. The teachers care not only about your academics, but also your personal well being. The student body in general lacks diversity, but a large amount of lgbt students are here for as small as the town is. The worst thing about this school is a certain guidance counselor (I won`t name). She is very unhelpful. Also the people who work in the front office and library are overall rude and act as if you are stupid...Read 79 Reviews

Senior: I love the smaller size of Conwell-Egan as it has allowed me to get to know everyone in school. I truly believe everyone is a friend at Conwell-Egan. For a smaller school, Conwell-Egan offers many different and unique ways to get involved. I've been involved with the basketball team, student council, student ambassadors, and my favorite, Spirit Night. Spirit Night is a one of a kind event at Conwell-Egan which requires months of preparation and practice and culminates in 3 amazing nights of choreographed dances, homemade costumes and props, and school spirit. Spirit Night is truly what makes Conwell-Egan the best school!...Read 162 Reviews
