Senior: Hesston is a very good school but the social environment is very clique based. If you do not do sports or fit in with the group you want, you will have difficulties making friends. Being different is not very accepted there but mostly if you are nice to people and don’t cause drama, you will be fine. Education is decent at Hesston, the teachers care about the students and there are some fantastic teachers.... Read 116 reviews

Parent: We switched to Sheridan during the pandemic joining a small community that focused on the safety of our children while limiting the disruption to their education. The administration did a stellar job. What truly stands out is how well rounded a Sheridan education is. In addition to the more traditional academics, its arts and music instruction as well as its focus on diverse communities through the student clubs is truly exceptional. We chose a K-8 school because of the added focus on the middle school years which can be difficult transition years. As the school skews young the older kids don’t grow up too fast. This is a gentle school. Middle school students mentor the lower school students. My son loves his mentor and he looks forward to becoming a mentor to a lower school student himself. Finally, Sheridan is a school that builds confidence. In 7th grade, students lead their own high school selection under the guidance of their teachers. This is incredibly empowering!... Senior: I love Elyria! The teachers their are fantastic! They build one-on-one relationships with each student to really develop a sweet atmosphere. We have some of the best academics in the state. Extracurricular activities are amazing as well. We are a small, private school, so we don't have activities like football or even baseball. But we make up for it with basketball. Both our women's and men's team have gone to state in the last 5 years. We have fantastic coaches!... Read 17 reviews

Senior: The teacher where amazing! At some points I did struggle with some of the work but overall a great experience and I encourage anyone in the area to enroll. There's a great band a choir program that I've been in first hand you wont find a better program like that around. There is a couple of thing I did not like in my experience. Gossip and actions along those line happen at every school but I think the school could have handed it better in my option. I also did not like how the school handed the dress code informants. I know that the dress code is set in place, It's that the school enforce it a lot more on the lady's at the school then the male students. Every school has it flaws but overall it had a great experience and I highly recommend checking out Goessel if you live in the area.... Read 8 reviews

Parent: Both of our kids started at The New School in ninth grade, after eight years of public school. It was one of the best parenting decisions we've ever made. Everything about this school is terrific. The teachers are passionate, inspired, and inspiring. Small, topics-driven, seminar-style classes foster creativity and independent thinking, while the welcoming atmosphere makes everyone feel at home. Our two kids turned out to be very different kinds of learners, but both thrived at The New School. Our youngest graduates next year, and we'll be sad to think of not having that day-to-day connection. Can't say enough about this wonderful school!... Read 26 reviews

Parent: My son is in third grade at St. Bart's. We moved from an independent Catholic school and the change in his self-confidence was obvious right away. Class size is small, my son has a homeroom teacher and additional teachers for Spanish, Music, PE, library and computer lab. Although we don't need extra help in the classroom, I know resources are available for kids who have different challenges. Extracurriculars are provided through CYO or private companies and include chess, sports, science, robotics. The school body is small and teachers know all the kids by name. Recess is well supervised, and aftercare is fun. Hot lunch is catered and the caterer offers reasonably balanced meals. Uniform is easy, no jacket for the little guys in lower school! We'd love to see more after school activities being offered to the kids.... Read 28 reviews
