Alum: Great school overall. Westtown's student body is extremely friendly and open, and the four years here have been a memorable experience. Would definitely come here again given the choice. That being said, Westtown is overrated in certain academic areas, especially STEAM (STEM + Art). While it did encourage students to experiment across subjects and think critically, it also led to a worse grasp on the sciences. ...That being said, there are resources for bright and hardworking students who are truly willing to go above and beyond (I met some of the smartest and most diligent people I know here), but the bar is high and they form their own little circle by sophomore year...If it stops here I'd give the school a four-star, but Westtown's policies and effort during the pandemic was outstanding and definitely deserve an additional star. It did a great job of supporting the students and made sure we are safe and happy...Thanks to Westtown, I got into my dream school despite the pandemic.Read 95 Reviews

Senior: My experience at STEM has been amazing! I think that the culture of our school is great and makes students feel very comfortable here. Although the school is small, students get along really well. Students are often very helpful and work well together. Also, many of the teachers at STEM are very understanding and treat their students with respect, which helps to make STEM such a great experience. Since we are treated with respect and trust, we have a lot of freedom in the school and makes it more relaxed – even in an environment which can sometimes be very stressful or competitive...Read 103 Reviews

Senior: When I first came to Church Farm school in 8th grade, I did not know what to expect. All I could think about was how am I going to fit in and who would I become friends with. By the end of the day, when my parents had left, I was greeted by not only the people in my class but the people in the upper grades. This truly showed me how much they had cared because they were once in the same position and knew exactly what I felt. It did not matter who you were, where you came from, or what you looked like. Living with your friends and seeing them 24/7 not only allows you to make great connections but it also allows you to make new brothers and be apart of a new family that you know has your back. ... Church Farm School is where I had begun my high school career, and I am happy to say it is where I am going to graduate. Being able to continue to have the connections with my fellow brothers and teachers will allow me to feel like I have never left...Read 42 Reviews

Parent: Moving to CDS was the absolute best move for my daughter and our whole family. CDS's approach to teaching the whole child, providing enriching and challenging lessons while encouraging students to flourish in a safe, kind and positive environment, has been such a wonderful experience for us! Nothing makes me happier as a mother, and an educator, as the continuous growth that I see in her - academically, socially, emotionally and mentally. From the first day, the staff was welcoming, supportive and patient. We love the transparency and communication provided by the teachers and the school as a whole. The needs of all students are met with grace, kindness and compassion. The positive school culture creates a space where students can grow and learn academically. My only regret is not having her begin her educational journey with CDS from day one!...Read 17 Reviews

Parent: The Phelps school was perfect for our son, not only academically, but socially as well. He needed more attention from teachers than he could get at any other school. It was very easy for our son to sit quietly, doing the minimum. But, the terrific teachers at Phelps would nicely encourage his participation. His grades improved. And, he's thriving at a major college...Our son also had to participate in activities that he would not have otherwise. It added a breadth to his personality and interests. We are so thankful to the terrific teachers!Read 21 Reviews

Senior: I think West does a good job preparing students for life after high school. Our academics are strong, especially the English program. However, I think administrative decisions often feel out of touch and are not made with the student body's best interest, but parents. While parents input is important, the school allows a few complaining parents to disrupt everyone else's life. I have seen sacrifices in our curriculum's diversity, student privacy, and technological convenience all because of a small group of parents. Also the school's approach to mental health is surface-level and insufficient. Especially since COVID, students have been facing more and more mental health issues and I have yet to see any meaningful changes put in place to combat this. I know I focused a lot on the cons of West, but overall it is an enjoyable school and the staff do their best to help students no matter what their path after high school may look like...Read 192 Reviews

Sophomore: I really like attending Bishop Shanahan High School. Most of the students are very polite and motivated. The school is very faith-based and feels like a community. The reason that I did not rate it five stars is because in general, BSHS is very strict in comparison to other schools. Additionally, the workload is very difficult and many teachers are on the older side. However, the school is fairly new, clean, and has puts on amazing musicals!...Read 180 Reviews

Parent: As a parent of two children attending SSPP, I can't stress enough how much of a positive impact the teachers have had on our children. They truly care about the students and give them the confidence to speak up and find their voice. The school offers so many opportunities outside of the classroom as well to provide them with a wide range of experiences while building a sense of community. There is not a doubt in my mind that our children are going to be well prepared for the next chapter in their lives!...Read 18 Reviews

Parent: Transferring to Montgomery was the best decision we made. After a very short time our child has become much more independent and confident. She loves school! In previous years she never enjoyed science. Now, science is her favorite subject! (the science teacher by the way is incredible!) All teachers are at Monty. Each teacher is unique and fully invested. ...Entering as the “ new kid” mid year did not phase her one bit. The admissions team, faculty, students and family laid out the red carpet for our daughter. The children are kind, polite and inclusive. Montgomery is more than a school, it is a family. Parent: We feel making the choice to send our children to PJP2 was the best decision we could have made! Our children look forward to going to school and we feel that is due to the exemplary teaching and community feel of the school. Their teachers are amazing, caring, really love and support the children, organized and professional. Their teachers really take the time to get to know every one of the children. The school gives you a sense of family and belonging to a community. We feel strongly our children are getting the best education and in our opinion they are further ahead by going to PJP2. Their curriculum is challenging, well balanced and has a variety of programs making it in our opinion one of the many reasons why we feel our children are getting the best education! We are very blessed to have the choice to send our children to this amazing school!!...Read 7 Reviews

Parent: Our family saw the real value of a private education with the sudden pivot to online learning. When other schools were working on a plan to suit all students, Villa was up and running with online learning within a couple of days. Teachers met with kids in Zoom Classrooms but also used Facetime to meet individually. We even got a couple of personal visits from one teacher including Easter treats and end of year goodies. Our kids are loved and cared for while they are learning and that includes classroom education as well as leadership skills, confidence and resilience. Even though we are not catholic, we love that our children are learning moral integrity and values from their religion classes, and the school is very accommodating for anyone who isn't in the catholic faith. The small classrooms make sure your daughter doesn't ever fly under the radar and the all-girl experience gives her confidence and focus. We love it here at Villa Maria for both of our girls and they do as well...Read 16 Reviews

We love that Jesus is woven through every subject and the Classical Education curriculum is great. The academics are high here compared to other Christian schools in the area.
