Parent: Our kids chose to transfer to PCS from public school when they were entering 9th (daughter) and 10th (son) grades. It was truly a life changing experience for our entire family. Not only did our entire family grow in our faith, but our kids received an excellent education that prepared them well for college. Both were accepted into their first choice college with transferrable credits they earned while attending PCS. They were well prepared academically for the rigors of the college classroom and spiritually for the challenges of a more secular environment. This little picturesque school on the hill holds such a special place in our hearts. We'd recommend it to any family looking for a Christian school with a strong academic reputation...Read 26 Reviews

Senior: I love how the faith of the teachers comes out in every area of school. From all-school devotions to class lectures to one-on-one conversations, the teachers demonstrate their love for our Savior. I love how parents and students and teachers are so involved in each other's lives. Often students and teachers attend the same church and students attend youth group together. I appreciate the love that the teacher's show for each and every one of their students. I would love to see our school continue to grow in love as a community. I would love to see the faith of each individual student continue to grow from one day to the next and from one year to the next...Read 37 Reviews

Senior: Lincoln High School is like any other little town school, you’re close to everything around you and everyone eventually gets to know you. The teachers within the school are fabulous and always spend their time trying to help you and better your chances with each year moving forward. Some say the school is too small or we don’t have enough people to fulfill any clubs or a few sports, but we still find ways to make them great even with the people we have. The whole building is connected to one another as you have the gym and music side of the building connected to the rest of the classrooms and cafeteria in the main building which is great with our travel around the school. Our school also offers a pathway across our bridge which is elevated off the ground to quickly get from the top floors to the other building which offers a unique route that not many schools have. Overall our school is great and I look forward to seeing how you feel about Lincoln!...Read 106 Reviews

Parent: North Side is no longer K-5th, it's only K-2nd for the entire district. The teachers are wonderful. Curriculum is on point. I'm underwhelmed with the parent involvement and PTO. Also, funding is somewhat low, but they seem to make best use of what they have. They do push a lot of pride of the school and district. Generally the atmosphere is positive...Read 1 Review

Parent: As a teacher who has taught 12 years in a public school setting, I would have never imagined choosing private school for my sons. After a tough year in kindergarten, my oldest son struggled and didn’t show much academic progress due to large class size. After much thought, I realized that a smaller class size is what he needed to cultivate the best learning environment...After researching all the available private schools here in Southern Frederick County, I was dismayed by the few options nearby. After thoughtful consideration, Barnesville fulfilled all of my expectations as a teacher parent. It provided small class sizes, a great amount of time spent outside, many cross-curricular learning opportunities, and a strong community. The teachers are extra caring and it was evident during our time distance learning. If you are looking for a school that offers meaningful relationships where your child is given many opportunities to grow and learn, Barnesville is for you!...Read 12 Reviews
