Parent: My son joined Northern Academy of the Arts in the 10th grade, and the change I saw in him since the first day has been incredible. He is much more motivated than before, taking responsibility of his academics while also seizing leadership opportunities within the school. He has joined more clubs than I can count, and he has taken full advantage of the school’s wide range of programs, whether they be AP courses or art programs. Personally, I believe this change is due to the school’s focus on teaching traditional values, thus making the children more responsible and more appreciative in their everyday life. The staff and faculty at Northern Academy are also top notch. More than once I’ve heard my child talk about how a teacher made his day by having a fun and engaging class, a real testament to the time and effort they put into educating the children.... Junior: Minisink Valley High School properly prepares students with the necessary hands-on experience and the guidance and support to be able to discover their academic interests and desires in their post-high school careers. The teachers and staff are always putting their students first in all of their efforts, and they go above and beyond in the line of duty to offer outside help to aid those students who might be struggling in the classroom and who might need that extra time to fine-tune their intellectual skills. I have yet to meet a teacher or staff member that does not genuinely care about the success and progression of their students, and especially during this year (with the current extenuating circumstances), the teachers have truly stepped up in making themselves available to be the best resource possible for the student body. Senior: John S. Burke is the a wonderful school. The administration is perfectly balanced between being there to help students, while retaining a "real world" persona. This is something that I found you won't find in any other school. The school is relatively small, but I've come to realize this is a benefit for everyone involved with the school. Middle School Student: I have had a good education experience here. The music and arts program is amazing, and also has very good sports teams, but for 6th graders and those who are not interested in sports or art have almost no options. Also, the language options aren't great- there are only two, and French only allows approx. 20 students. The school budget was also recently cut, and less and less is going towards helping students. Also, if you plan on moving to Minisink, the quality of the school lunch is abysmal. I mean, we do have 3D printers, and yet, until last year, our computers were from the early 2000's. And even the new desktop computers are bad. And the Chromebooks are even worse.... Read 10 reviews

Senior: I have been an attendee of Middletown High School for almost four years now. Personally, what I love about the High School is how well the faculty treats the students. I've always had genuine relationships with my teachers & the security guards. They tend to care for all of their students, & the staff truly appreciates each & every single student they come across. But, this school isn't all rainbow & sunshine. Sometimes I do tend to be worried about how safe I truly am in school. We've had countless lockdowns throughout our district in general because of where we're located. Even during some of our football games, we've had some intense incidents occur. Senior: I really liked a lot of the teachers at Twin Towers, especially teachers in the music department. I was a part of the honors programs in Twin Towers and the teachers were all really great. Parent: Since our boys started attending TLE in Middletown, we have seen a dramatic, positive change in their behavior and their confidence. They are always excited to go and see their teachers and friends. They share and get along with each other better, and just seem to be overall happier kids! I love the parent app, it really puts me at ease knowing I can check in anytime and see what they are doing. I would recommend TLE to any parent. It's a great environment for learning and fun!...
