Freshman: I love Wheeler so much! I went to elementary and middle school there and just started high school. Throughout my whole experience, I have loved how the school handled difficult topics such as racism and they have done an exceptional job handling COVID. They are great at helping you meet new people and after spending 5 years at the school, I have made so many friends and developed many inter-grade and teacher relationships is that I think will last even after high school. I strongly recommend Wheeler for any budding activists and for anyone who is looking to expand their horizons. Come and visit during Unity and Diversity week in February! We would love to meet you!... Read 103 reviews

Parent: The community is truly warm and supportive. The school provides student with high quality, rigorous courses, which profoundly trains students ability in preparation for the transition to college. The humanities course for sophomore is especially challenging, in which students are required to read about twenty or more books throughout the year. The canon includes great literature and philosophical text such as Paradise Lost, the Dubliners, and Summa Theologia. Regarding the athletics , Abbey gives students a myriad of opportunities to express their athletic talents and hard works throughout the season. The coaches are all super supportive that they put all the effort to create a cohesive team.... Read 95 reviews

Parent: I have two very different children who have found happiness at Moses Brown in the lower and middle schools. In their classes, their funky uniqueness is honored and all of the kids are respected by peers and teachers alike (truly). The stellar administration and dedicated, organized , caring and smart teachers work together to craft a culture where everybody is welcome and their independence honored while still emphasizing the importance of community, being part of a team, and working for the better good. Academics are strong and rigorous. The school also works to support all types of intelligence, and is overt in teaching skills to support social and emotional well-being. The Friends philosophy is the backbone to the culture of the school, and the community takes those ideals seriously, emphasizing simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship. We are deeply grateful for MB.... Read 89 reviews

Middle School Student: I have been at BSS since Kindergarten. One of my favorite things about this school is the faculty and staff. I am sad to leave, but I am excited to grow and experience new things. I had a very good experience at BSS, and I have also grown a lot as a person. This school has such a welcoming environment and community that it really feels like a family. Moreso, I am very grateful for my friends that I have made throughout the years. Serving as President on the Student Council in 8th grade has been so fun, and I've been able to organize events and spirit weeks for my peers. I always had a great time in my classes because there is always someone lightening the mood, whether it is the students or the teachers. BSS is not like other schools.-we are encouraged to have fun, express ourselves, and stand out from the crowd. The other great thing about BSS is that it's not that big, so it really enhances the familial, intimate culture we have here. I will always remember my time here!... Read 12 reviews

Senior: I started at Lincoln as a Freshman. I have loved the community and the friends I have made who are supportive of who I am and help me to be a better version of myself. Everyone I have met at school is committed to their work and is passionate about succeeding. I have loved my classes and my teachers who have are always ready and willing to help with anything. One thing that I would like to see change is the support for the performing arts specifically the music program. Although the school has a bigger following for theater, not many are involved in music. I would like to see the arts equally supported within the curriculum.... Read 90 reviews

Parent: Our son and daughter entered PCD as sixth graders in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Initially, having our children attend was not anywhere on our radar when we began to explore middle school options for our older son. During his shadow day visit, he just fell in love with PCD and I was struck by the Head of School's message: PCD's not only about graduating students who have excelled academically, but developing people who will be productive, ethical and upstanding members of society. PCD worked tirelessly with us to make the possibility of our children attending a reality. Our children have different academic and personality strengths and weaknesses, but PCD has brought out the best of their strengths and supports them in developing and improving their weaknesses. Small class sizes together with teachers, coaches, administrators and staff who know each student makes all the difference in our children's experience.... Read 53 reviews

Alum: I started at the school in 6th grade all the way through 12th grade. The school is very welcoming and really gives students that 1on1 action for student success. The school loves when students reach out to their teachers when they are struggling so that they can be the best student in their minds. They have a diverse spread of programs for sports and THE ARTS, and lots of community service opportunities. This place shaped me for who I am today as both a student and a performer both theatrically and musically, and gave me such a confidence boost in my education. The school is a place that I was glad to call home for 7 years.... Read 36 reviews

Alum: BCA was the right school for me! Regarding academics it is the students place to challenge themselves which is what I did and I gained the best experience. However BCA does prioritize service and missions as they always tell us to “lead by serving.” This was such an important aspect of my education career. I was able to learn the hard work of going on a mission trip but also experiencing the reward. BCA has the most amazing faculty who love their students so much, I have also always felt safe there and always pushed to grow as an individual under God’s kingdom. With each year BCA grows stronger as an establishment and has been flourishing over the past couple years. I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes the school!... Read 40 reviews

Alum: I graduated from Mt. Hope in 2015, Compared to one other high school I went to, Mt. Hope is pretty small (which isn't necessarily bad) and I enjoyed most of my teachers! The size of the school really gives a sense of community, which really compliments how the town is as well. For example, my guidance counselor from high school is now my landlord! See... small community! I really wish there had been better (and mandatory) classes on finances and adulting. While I was attending I remember being disappointed in the range of classes. Compared to my other high school, which had a garage for kids to learn to work on cars, a preschool for the students to work at... Mt. Hope has nothing of the sorts to offer. The most I remember them having is some decent culinary classes, shop classes, and I think classes in electrical work.... Read 180 reviews

Parent: The advantage of a small school is small class size resulting in more attention per pupil, more INDIVIDUAL attention for each student. This is most certainly the case at FASRI. The COVID-19 crisis and FASRI's response is a great example. Our situation in the crisis is not exactly typical. I am older and have medical conditions that would make contracting the virus disastrous. I simply cannot risk our granddaughter bringing the virus home. Mme. Brouder at FASRI listened carefully and within a week or two had a full program designed so that our granddaughter can enjoy a successful 4th grade and I my natural life. The teachers are absolutely first rate, dedicated, indefatigable, care about their students and inspire nothing but confidence. Students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. All this before we even begin the advantage of bi-lingual learning for young children. FASRI is a real find!... Read 8 reviews

Junior: GWUOHS is a fantastic school! The teachers are supportive and always willing to help out students. Teachers provide all the materials and help needed for students that want it, but at the same time, they give independence to the student. From personal experience, I have always had attentive and very friendly teachers. The class connects allow for interactive learning and collaboration for classes and clubs. Clubs at GWUOHS are also a lot of fun and are primarily run by students. Students can start their own clubs with a teacher sponsor and structure them how they would like. In creating a club or being a leader in a club, teachers offer as much assistance as students want and are always there for advice and connecting students. GWUOHS also has opportunities to showcase leadership and skills to colleges through honor societies, student government, competitive scholarships, and more.
