Parent: The new head of school, Tony J., is fabulous, and already making positive changes. He knows all the kids, and is always walking around and talking to them. My teen reports excellent & challenging classes, especially in marine science and loves the sports and arts culture. He is on active on campus most weekends and enjoys the sports, friends, activities and local area. He's gone on day trips all over the place, and couldn't be happier...Read 50 Reviews

Middle School Student: St. James St. John School made me into the individual that I am today. The persistent, and helpful teachers continuously encouraged me to thrive. Through the academics and course levels I was challenged, however, I am grateful because it prepared me for high school. Although my high school was extremely different than my middle school, the messages i learned and the work ethic I developed prepared me for the next four years of my life. Not only is this school good academically, it also is very spiritual. I gained a deeper connection to myself through the lessons and teachings of God. The small class sizes also allows you to become a family with all of your classmates. I still have many life long friends that I met through this small school...Read 4 Reviews

Niche User: I would definitely do this over again. I have tremendous respect for this school and, though it wasn't a perfect experience, it is the best choice for children. The students don't conform to school culture, the school bends to meet their needs. I can't describe the whole program, it would be best that you do some research on Maria Montessori...Read 8 Reviews

Parent: We enrolled our son in Fork Union Military Academy after seeing so many YouTube videos that touted the benefits of the one-subject program and the school. The promise of focus, structure, and accomplishment came through. He passed all his classes in this, his first year, a sophomore at FUMA...We took advantage of their academic success program. There he found continuous support and cheers! They found novel approaches to reach him, took the time to learn about him, and flexed their approaches. I have been concerned in the past about the ability of teachers who are not Black to 'see my son' as an individual. At FUMA, they know him, challenge him to be his best, hold him accountable, and motivate him...I am proud of what he has done this year. As a testament to the place, he is looking forward to going back in the Fall - he's proud that he's earned a promotion in rank and knows he can do even better academically. Amazing...Read 98 Reviews

Parent: I was lucky enough to attended Delphi as a child growing up, and last month my toddler started there! The same things I loved about Delphi long ago are still present and thriving. The teachers are enthusiastic and passionate about learning and make every single day fun. The small class sizes allow for a strong nurturing relationship between staff and student, and my child feels welcomed and loved already. I appreciate that Delphi's reading program teaches students to read at such a young age and provides them with a genuine love for learning. It isn't forced upon them and that was something I loved when I went- I became a strong independent learner which helped me through college and into my career. Many of the staff that worked there when I was young are still present- which means a lot in this day and age. ...After a few weeks our son already loves his class, his teacher Miss Pam and the fun activities they do daily- art, music, outside time twice a day, painting, reading class, etcRead 15 Reviews
