Alum: I enjoyed my time at Pius X, however there were things about my experience that I would have changed. Pius is a Catholic school, but it often felt like it was only in name. I would have appreciated if the school and administration would have encouraged the students to dive deeper into their faith, instead of diverting their focus to try and conform to the culture. The administration didn't seem to have much of a backbone when dealing with conflict. I had to really make the effort to have the positive experience I was looking for by joining clubs and taking the responsibility to grow in my faith.... Read 244 reviews

Senior: The community is what makes the experience. Having teachers that genuinely care about their students makes a world of difference, which is Lincoln Christian’s most valuable asset. The student body is overall very friendly and accepting, and also very involved. Being that it is a smaller school, students have plenty of opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. The only part of my experience I felt I was lacking in was access to a variety of higher level courses. There are some opportunities for dual credit/AP classes, but if you’re looking to accumulate lots of college credit and have a strong college application in that sense, the public schools may serve you better.... Senior: I love how Lincoln Lutheran offers a Christ centered atmosphere where teachers encourage students to grow both spiritually and academically. The teachers posses great knowledge of their subject area and prepare every student for college making the transition seamless. Being at Lincoln Lutheran you are surrounded by teachers and students that care about you and strive to help you grow. They also provide a wide variety of clubs and activities for students to participate in along with dual credit to make college life a little less busy and expensive. At Lincoln Lutheran I feel comfortable sharing my views and opinions because I know my teachers will hear me and answer any questions I may encounter. It has been great being in a smaller school as you know who everybody is and the small class sizes' allows students to ask questions and grow closer to the teacher and fellow peers.... Senior: Waverly was an amazing school. I was a student at Lincoln Southeast prior to me senior year when we moved to the Waverly area. I made the choice to change schools my senior year and I am so thankful I did! The atmosphere, the students, teachers and staff were all better then I could have asked! Waverly made my senior year one to remember and I will forever!... Read 168 reviews

Parent: We have been encouraged by how our son has grown as a person and his eagerness to learn and discover is fostered at school. He has teachers who show patience and kindness while guiding hero’s through learning. Zach and Heidi (the owners) live and breath what Acton is all about! Outdoor time everyday, healthy snacks, Forest Fridays, Parent coffee, Peace Table (conflict resolution), and Exhibitions are just a few of the things we love about Acton. I can’t imagine my son going anywhere else!... Read 7 reviews

Parent: As the parent of two children in the lower school, I am extremely pleased with SSSAS. The Early Saints teachers make each day engaging for my 3-year-old. The monthly units the ES learn have prompted my son to apply what he’s learned to the world around him (the food unit they completed prompts a nightly discussion about which foods on his plate are muscle foods, brain foods, etc.). His teachers started a recent parent conference with 3 very specific adjectives to describe my son and given the examples they gave me, it is clear that really understand him as a whole child. My experiences with JK and K were also nothing short of fantastic; even during the pandemic the teachers were able to connect with my son. The K and 1st grade teachers have also provided my son a solid educational foundation; they have identified his strengths and given additional challenging work so that he hasn’t been bored. Any issues I’ve had have been quickly and appropriately addressed by his teachers.... Read 132 reviews

Senior: I’ve loved my time at SJC! It took a little bit of time to get used to as a freshman because of how technologically dependent the school is. Most, if not all, work is done on the IPad which is great for so many reasons. The student life is amazing and staff want to see you succeed. However, some of the older teachers tend to get stuck in their ways of teaching and need to modernize their methods. Overall, SJC is a great environment for high schoolers, especially those athletically and academically driven.... Read 251 reviews
