Parent: The curriculum is thoughtful, encourages critical thinking and think outside the box. While the school has a strong focus in math and science, my child is getting a well rounded education with classes in Language Arts, History, Community, etc., electives in art, foreign languages and history of food as well as after school fun like drama, sports and animal lovers clubs! The daily updates are informative detailing by class what my child did that day and I like the sneak peak on what the higher grade levels are learning/reading/doing. The teachers encourage the students to advocate for themselves but they are always on hand to help! My child has developed strong friendships with kids at various grade levels which shows that there is a common comradery and closeness in this community. The best review I can give comes from my child who says that Ideaventions Academy "is the best school ever!" and we wholeheartedly agree.... Read 7 reviews

Senior: I’ve been enrolled in K12 from 9th grade. It was a different transition but personally I liked it. The teachers are so nice and always there to help! The courses help prepare you for college which is very useful. Something I would change is the workload. They assign too much work and the grading system isn’t the best. Parent: CMS is wonderful and I couldn't imaging sending our daughter anywhere else! She is not only learning academics (with so many hands on activities and real world applications), but also lessons on "grace and courtesy" and "freedoms and responsibilities." These lessons teach children to work together in a community while respecting themselves, each other, and their environment. They are also allowed to experience some independence in a safe environment while exploring subjects and their interests to their full potential. When you observe the classroom you can see how it is both peaceful AND fun! The way they teach math is impressive and actually makes it fun and make sense...I wish I would've learned math this way. CMS is inclusive, celebrates diversity, and gives parents plenty of opportunities to get involved if they choose to do so.
