Alum: I am an alum of the class of 2021. I attended Episcopal for 7 years. I switched from Episcopal from a highly rated public school. The facilities at Episcopal are unmatched by other high schools both academic and athletic. While the facilities are unbelievable, Episcopal is made special by the of the staff of the students. Everything I experienced at Episcopal was amazing with the exception of the administration. The administration does not think through a lot of decisions and is not respected by the students and a lot of parents because of the incompetence. Other than the current administration tearing down what previous administrations have built alongside a great community of students and alumni, the school is unmatched by any high school in the area and a lot of universities.... Parent: I knew when I first heard of this foreign language immersion school that this is where my child would attend. How is works is that all the classes, math, science, etc. are taught in Spanish or French. So the children naturally pick up the languages just as they do from hearing us speak English all day at home. I work in healthcare and wish nearly daily that I could speak multiple languages. Not only will she will she be fluent in Spanish, French and of course English (some Chinese too) but I'm excited about the cognitive advantages that have been demonstrated by kids who learn multiple languages. There is a lot of research out there showing better thinking, memory, math, social skills etc. in kids who learn multiple languages.... Read 18 reviews

Alum: Top notch faculty and administration, and a great appreciation for global international thinking and performance. The school emphasizes the importance of independent thinking and expression, while still maintaining a strong sense of community. Veritas allowed me to grow into the person I am today. It put me in challenging situations that have benefitted me overall and put me on the path to success. One of my most unique experiences: while at Veritas, I had an opportunity to study abroad at the campus in Beijing. What an experience! I highly recommend my alma mater. #alwaysaspartan... Senior: Live Oak High is an excellent school! It has many diverse programs, from Taking care of the teacher's children in the morning with CDA to helping the environment with the Science club. We also have numerous athletics programs. Baseball, basketball, and many more! Live Oak provides excellent faculty members. Teachers, coaches, even the janitorial members, creates this school's character. They participate in school activities, such as fundraisers and football concessions stands. The school grounds are immaculate and sanitary while showing school pride with posters and pictures with memories throughout the years. Live Oak is a fantastic school, Go Eagles!... Read 221 reviews

Parent: My child was a student in the Resource classes at Denham Springs Junior High. She was very well taken care of and was treated as well as any other student in the school. She followed the same curriculum as the regular education students, just on her level. The teachers there all made sure that she never felt that she was less than any other student. Can't recommend this school enough!... Read 13 reviews

Senior: I first starting going to Parkview in 7th grade and I will be graduating this spring. Parkview has been a good experience for me, but it has also come with it's challenges. I can say that 90% of the faculty are there to ensure that students get a good education and adequately prepare us for the next year/future. I haven't had a problem with the majority of students, but there are bad apples in every barrel and you can't expect everyone to get along. Overall, I will be graduating knowing that my Christian education has prepared me for a life in the outside world, and my experiences at Parkview will never be forgotten!... Read 142 reviews

Parent: We have lived in this district for 8 years and now that we are looking to move we just can not accept the fact that we may have to part with this school. I have a 15 year old, 12 year old special needs, 10 year old special needs and 7 year old who have all attended this school. Parent: Our daughter goes to the Pre-Nursery program for 2 year olds (the description on this Niche site says that Preschool program starts at age 4 - not correct) and she is thriving. She is able to recognize letters and count, and loves her music class. There's library session once a week, and very well thought out learning modules. The teachers are excellent and have wonderful communication with the parents. My husband and I were both former teachers at private institutions and we love the school!... Read 14 reviews

Alum: I am an alumni of District Heights Elem. I went there from Pre-K to 6th grade and those were my best years in school. When I was going there, diversity wasn't really throughout the school. I may have been one of the 5 or 6 hispanics there but I made many friends there. I learned what I needed to know and I was also in the TAG program there. The TAG program taught me very outside of the box thinking that has helped me in my later years. Overall, District Heights was a good school. I return there regularly to keep my favorite teachers updated on the whereabouts of my education.... Read 2 reviews
