Senior: Moorestown Friends is as advertised, inspiring kids to perform academically, to pursue interdisciplinary study, and to break the mold of a student fitting a single archetype. It's a place where most are committed to producing results: the girl at the top of the class is also a double varsity athlete, AP art student, etc. MFS does a great job of creating a culture that rewards success. However, it can be exhausting. MFS can be difficult for high-achievers experiencing burnout. One thing I will say is that the emotional strain placed on a student to perform may impact their mental health. It can be exhausting to perform out of fear of failure, and the mental health resources are a tad subpar. Our school counselor is a wonderful woman, but ultimately it comes down to "I-know-you're-depressed-but-your-grades-are-good-so-stick-it-out!" Senior: I have bene going to Eastern Regional High School since 9th grade. It's a huge school that is really beautiful on the inside from big gyms to nice bathrooms. As for the education, Eastern has great teachers. Some teachers are more involved with their students than others, but I have had great connections with my teachers especially those that helped me excel in my interests. I believe that Eastern can have more clubs that aren't entirely academically based or encompassed in sports. As someone who loves to read, I was astounded that my school didn't have a book club so I took the initiative to create one. Junior: I was first lukewarm about coming to Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, or as everyone around here calls it, Eustace. I entered as part of that class that was half virtual, half not. It was a surreal experience to try to make friends from six feet away without facial cues. However, as time went on I began to love Bishop Eustace more and more. Everyone here is kind. The faculty truly care about the students and what is best for them. The students actually do embrace the Pallotti teachings. It's not a big school, but personally, I love the fact that it is small. All the clubs and teams here need people and are happy to have anyone willing to help. As a result, you can try a million things and find out what you really want to pursue. Senior: As a senior who is about to graduate, I can't help but reflect on my time at King's. King's has provided me with not only a good education but also with multiple opportunities to grow personally and spiritually. The teachers work very hard to make us feel comfortable with our surroundings and teach us how God uses all people and all aspects of our lives to mature us and use us for his glory. King's places a high emphasis on character development and spiritual growth. They commit themselves to integrating faith into every aspect of education which has helped me shape my own values and understand Gods love for me. King's is a very tight-knit community and has been almost like a second family to me through the years. Students are constantly looking out for others as well as teachers checking in on students personal lives and making sure they are doing ok. Alum: The best four years of my life. I never missed a day of school my junior or senior years. I loved the tradition this school carried and is still using (as far as I know). My freshman class was one of the biggest in years 450+ students I believe so it was easy making friends for me going to a school where I knew nobody! Honestly it was the happiest time of my adolescence life and as I think about my past, most of my happiest memories are from when I was attending HighSchool at Camden Catholic! Wish I could go back…time rlly does fly so if u are currently in HS please PLEASE enjoy ur time and don’t let the stress of acedemics or current events etc. drag u down!! Senior: Gloucester Catholic is the best environment you could ever place your child. It is safe, friendly, educational, vocational and most importantly a home to all of its students. Academically, athletically, and service wise GC is successful. Parent: They asked if my child went to pre-school which I informed them he did not, and I think they quickly based his assessment score which, I knew was BS,so I chalked it up to nerves. However they placed him in special Ed classes and I new something wasn't right well within a month I was informed that my son was much to smart and could be placed in regular class. Quarantine started his K year and 1st grade was 2half school days the rest remote at the end of his 1st grade yr. I was contacted by the school to keep my child back now his grades were excellent but they told me he would benefit being held back for lack of organization and social skills I trusted the teachers assessment and agreed. He now is repeating 1st grade, the work is unbelievably unchallenging for him, and they want him in gifted program.Ill making better decisions for him from now on before trusting the staff at Osage. Alum: Paul VI is a great school the education is great and the administration is incredibly helpful especially when collage application time came around. I took Ap and honors classes and I feel that those programs really gave a great education to students and were very helpful in my college experience. I was able to earn college credits through dual enrollment and will be able to graduate a semester early because of that. My ap English classes were especially great. I loved my teachers and English was my favorite class. I rated my overall school experience 4 stars because high school is difficult and I do feel that the education for non honors and ap classes is lower quality. Senior: My 4 years at Sterling have been full of fun events and great teachers. Sterling offers great programs that will prepare students for their future careers and sometimes get them experience in those areas as well. For example, the school has a preschool they run that allows students interested in education to teach lessons to the children and learn about them in a school environment seeing everything that occurs and learning hands-on in a sense. One thing I would like to see change with Sterling High School is their mindset and policies behind lateness. They praise getting involved, but some students enjoy so many things that they become very involved, but very tired balancing it all with hours of homework and home responsibilities. Sometimes we all oversleep accidentally or run behind, but that is no reason for students to be treated as if they are bad and punished for it. Junior: CCTS is a good school to go to if you want to advance in your career choice or just try one out. Career education is thorough and very hands on. Sophomore: My experience with Burlington County Institute of Technology has been amazing. They provided me with a rich education in many subjects. With this school one is able to choose a career major that they will take for four years. I chose Sports Medicine as my career major. During this I was able to learn anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, orthopedics, rehab, nutrition, and prescriptive fitness. The school guidance counselors have also been amazing. They have provided me with important information regarding scholarships, colleges/university choices, extracurriculars, and more. Another amazing thing about BCIT is their size. The school doesn’t have too many students. Each class is no more than 30 students. You are able to build close relationships with classmates and professors. The school is also diverse. Senior: I love Philadelphia Performing Arts: String Theory. My school is very different from ordinary high schools that just offer general education classes. We have a beautiful building that is in the heart of center city. I love that my high school offers major and elective classes alongside of our gen-ed classes. My school has a wide variety of majors that span from dance and music to tv and broadcasting and theater to stem, art and design. I have been an engineering major all throughout high school. I have also loved my architecture elective that I have been taking my last two years of high school. I am grateful for the resources and opportunities my school has opened up for me. I thank String Theory for allowing me to find a passion in architecture and engineering at such a young age.
