Senior: Grove City Christian Academy is a gem. The student body and faculty are quite small, but very interconnected. The academic excellence, from Preschool through high school coursework, is college (and beyond) preparatory. All endeavors here are from a Christian worldview, but intellectual and spiritual analysis is encouraged in upper level classes especially. The part-time high school set up offers great options for dual enrollment opportunities with the neighboring Grove City College. The school follows a Classical Christian model, which is something that I have fallen in love with during my time here. Students study Latin, Logic, Bible, and Rhetoric, to name a few distinctives. The teachers here have developed close and lasting relationships with me to this day. There is a lovely strings program where students can take violin lessons and participate in an ensemble setting. State champion NASP archery team. Competitive robotics team. Wouldn't trade my time here for anything.... Read 4 reviews

Senior: When I was younger, school was a source of confidence. I felt like I was good at it and could end the day feeling accomplished. As I got older, that changed. School became frustrating. It began to make me feel badly about myself. This was so discouraging and degrading. I started not wanting to go to school, not wanting to even try. My sophomore year I knew things had to change if I wanted to have a good future and go to a good college. We found Cortona Academy and, honestly, my life changed! Cortona Academy made me feel good about learning again and helped build-up my confidence. They made school less frustrating, making sure I understood something before moving on, making certain I had a strong foundation and could successfully tackle any subject put in my path. Cortona Academy helped bring up my GPA and, most importantly, helped me feel ready for college. I no longer feel discouraged; I no longer feel like I can't. Cortona Academy has shown me that I “can,” no matter what.... Read 24 reviews

Senior: I have attended The Perkiomen School since 6th grade. Because of the small class sizes and overall small school size, I was able to develop friendships that I expect to have forever. I was a shy, reserved kid and looking back, appreciate the way the teachers were able to engage us in the discussions. In most of my classes, the desks are arranged in a circle to promote discussion and interaction among students. I also appreciate the ability to play on a sports team, despite your skill level. As an average athlete, I likely would not have been able to participate in any varsity sport in my public high school. Now as a senior at Perk looking back, my attendance has fostered my independence, confidence, social skills and has definitely prepared me for the next step....College!... Read 62 reviews
