Senior: I have spent all four of my years in high school at Austin and there have been many ups and downs but in the end I love my school. Austin is small but the faculty works with the students to try and give as many opportunities for different classes and clubs as possible. The faculty also does everything they can to make sure the students know that they are here for them and they always push us to be the best versions of ourselves. Our school offers many different pathways and has opportunities for any student who is willing to take them, whether it be workforce related programs or college preparation and dual credit courses. Our administration works to support and show pride in all aspects of our school and loves to praise and reward our students and programs. The Austin school system has helped me in many ways and it has set me on a path for success in the future.

Senior: Henryville Junior/Senior High School is a very small school with large opportunities. Attending Henryville allows an individual to become very close with all fellow students. There is a strong sense of unity and teamwork at Henryville. The staff to student ratio is smaller than most schools and allows for a better learning experience. The teachers are well educated and eager to help students in need. The learning experiences at Henryville are excpetional, but the building itself needs some help. Ever since the tornado, the building has been going downhill. The reconstruction of the school was rushed and the building was not at its peak. The ceilings and walls are found with mold. Some classrooms experience growth of grass through the carpet. Various students are allergic to mold and experience allergic reactions and must be hospitalized. The building needs fixed, but the community is amazing!

Senior: Scottsburg High School is an inclusive school with many opportunities for every student. Scottsburg High School has given me all the tools I need in order to succeed and thrive in the real world. Scottsburg starts preparing its students as early as their freshmen year in order to prepare them up for success. Depending on your pathway rather it be the military, workforce, or college Scottsburg starts building a pathway to help you get to your chosen path. The counselors do an excellent job in providing advice and caring for their students. The counselors have many individual meetings with kids in order to make sure the kids are on track for success. If the kids are not on track for success, the counselors do their best in order to get the child back on track. With the overflowing amount of sports, clubs, AP and dual credit classes Scottsburg offers such as Ultimate Frisbee, FCCLA, AP Statistics, and dual credit psychology, Scottsburg outshines many other schools in the area.
