Senior: There are good points and bad points about every school. Prior to this year, I would have given it five stars. There are some amazing faculty and staff! Things just seem to have changed and they seem to care more about money and appearances than they do about preparing kids for the future. There really is no diversity. They say they are focused on college prep but there isn't strong guidance about college scholarships and what and when kids should be applying. There is information provided but it is hard to understand if you haven't done it before...Read 33 Reviews

Niche User: Great Christian education with some of the best educational staff around! It's hard to find teachers who care about you as an individual, especially if you aren't with the "in crowd". Junior: St. Edward Central Catholic High School is a good school overall. Teachers here care more about your education than teachers in public schools because there are less students. Overall, St. Edwards is a close knitted community consisting of people who care about their students’ education. Despite that, there are downsides of this school. This school isn’t as diverse as I’d like it to be, and truth be told, diversity is a fundamental factor in a child’s education and how they turn out. Apart from that, I think despite how advanced our school is to public school, it offers less opportunities than public schools sometimes. Many people talk about all these various programs, classes, and extra school curriculares that public schools have to offer. Our school does not have a lot of these, and it’s mainly because our school is not funded by the government. Sometimes, I can’t help but feel like I’m missing out on some of these opportunities...Read 101 Reviews

Alum: Triad High School brings an amazing culture and atmosphere to its students and community. The athletics are great for being a medium sized school, we often competed with lots of bigger schools and held our own very well. The teachers were great. The athletic facilities were solid. The school itself is fairly new built around 2000. Administrators weren’t bad but often had a very political feeling to every action they ever did. There was a pretty big lack of diversity at triad. I did not have 1 single non-white teacher in my 4 years there and I’m not even sure if they employ any people of color in the entire school honestly. The student body is mostly white and middle class by a large margin. The guidance department was zero help to me and many of my peers in helping us plot our futures. The school spirit, extracurriculars and great community feel makes Triad a overall pretty good school!...Read 189 Reviews

Alum: At Gateway I was able to learn to be successful. I made many friends from all around the world. With the help of several staff members, including Ms. Tina and Ms. Melissa, I was able to successfully apply and be accepted to several of my top choice schools. The love and care I received at Gateway will always make it like family for me and I am always excited to go back and visit the staff and meet the new students. Senior: My experience at Collinsville High School has been amazing. I met a lot of new friends and teachers. Over the last four years I've been blessed to have the best teachers ever! I feel like all my teachers from freshman year to senior year has prepared me for the real world. The teachers challenge you so everyone can reach their fullest potential in order to thrive after high school. The sports team really does it though, you build a life long bond with your teammates while going threw the blood, sweat, and tears. what I love most about Collinsville High School is preparing for game day on Friday nights and the electrifying assembly we have. One thing I would change about the school are adding more classes, I wish we could add special classes that focus on different culture. So that we become more knowledgeable of the different cultures...Read 328 Reviews

Senior: It’s pretty good. The teachers are 10/10, only real problem is how they handle any sort of conflict. Whether it be between students, parents, or something internal they usually end up blowing it up into something bigger than they need to. Foods great though. Parent: The school does a fantastic job of creating an atmosphere for learning. At no time have my children had to deal with any type of bullying nor have I heard of other children dealing with these issues. The teachers and administrators of the school are extremely responsive to the parents. The sense of community and belonging that is imparted to all families makes this a wonderful place. The school is known for developing the leaders within the metro east community and delivers on that promise...Read 1 Review

Parent: As the parent of two children in the lower school, I am extremely pleased with SSSAS. The Early Saints teachers make each day engaging for my 3-year-old. The monthly units the ES learn have prompted my son to apply what he’s learned to the world around him (the food unit they completed prompts a nightly discussion about which foods on his plate are muscle foods, brain foods, etc.). His teachers started a recent parent conference with 3 very specific adjectives to describe my son and given the examples they gave me, it is clear that really understand him as a whole child. ...My experiences with JK and K were also nothing short of fantastic; even during the pandemic the teachers were able to connect with my son. The K and 1st grade teachers have also provided my son a solid educational foundation; they have identified his strengths and given additional challenging work so that he hasn’t been bored. Any issues I’ve had have been quickly and appropriately addressed by his teachers...Read 132 Reviews
