Parent: We have two students at Holy Trinity. They are both excelling academically and involved in clubs and sports. The Forensics team is amazing and very active! Also, the Theater program is very strong. Since it is a small school, anyone who wants to be on a spots team can join. I love that my kids get to try so many different activities and find the ones they are passionate about. While my children do well in their advanced classes, they are challenged and are not allowed to "coast". Their teachers push them to succeed and are available for one-on-one time, if needed. Communication is sometimes an issue. We aren't always given adequate information or notice from the office staff pertaining to activities or events, but it is improving. Alum: I say this as a LGBT+ alumni who was there for almost my entire highschool and middleschool period. It's a great school for elementary students and has pretty good disability help but it can't help from being what its name states, a Christian, close-minded, and if you read their guidebook, is very willing to kick children out if they openly support or state they are in anyway associated with LGBT+. Many members who work in the school have stated some unsatisfactory opinions on a slew of topics but fortunately, their English reading choices are very open and don't prevent people from reading by some standards "banned" books. It's quite a college ready school. It works well with a dual credit class or two so it does its best with the budget it has to make every student college ready. Senior: At Troy, there are many opportunities to participate in extracurriculars. I was personally involved with Troy FFA, which has awesome advisors, or ag teachers. Troy is a mostly agricultural based school, just because of our rural location. However, there is a strong athletics program, especially in football, volleyball, baseball, and softball. There are also other sports like tennis, golf, powerlifting, track, and basketball. The atmosphere is friendly anywhere that you go, and the teachers are understanding about extracurriculars and schoolwork.
