Parent: Hayden Catholic High School is an excellent choice for kids to learn and grow in their Catholic faith while getting a quality education at the same time. Alum: such a fulfilling experience, where I learned things that none of my friends ever will. Philosophy, Apologetics, and Calculus are just three of the amazing classes offered here. My only problem is that this school turns kids into very attractive students for colleges, yet offers little to no academic programs or awards for these students to show it. No AP or IB, no dual credit, and no honor society. Almost anyone at this school could achieve these awards, yet the school doesn't offer them.... Read 41 reviews

Alum: I loved every single minute that I spent at Heritage. The teachers were deeply invested into the students, and wanted them to succeed in their lives, not just getting them to pass their classes. The small class sizes were very nice, for I knew every single person in high school and I was able to develope very deep friendships with both my peers and teachers. The teachers were also willing to take time to meet with students, if the students wanted to talk about anything at all, from family troubles to questions about ethics and homework. The food from the cafeteria was the best! Almost everyday there was a dessert option, and there was always some sort of fruit or vegetable on the side. Chili and cinnamon roll days were my favorite. The classes that I took challenged me to apply myself and to put forth effort if I wanted to achieve the A. All in all there is plenty for any student to do, both in and out of the classroom.... Senior: I came to Shawnee Heights High School for my Sophomore year of High School, it was very different and I got lost a few times but overall it has been a good experience. I have made a lot of friends coming here, but in the beginning it was difficult and scary. The staff are nice and easy to talk to whenever I need assistance or help. Senior: My experience at Seaman High School has been nothing but amazing! The staff here are extremely knowledgeable and will help you out with anything. In addition, the students and friendly and encouraging. I met some of my best friends here, and will cherish so many memories. Speaking of, freshman year was a little scary, but with the newly renovated freshman hall it was an easy transition and allowed me to meet many in my own grade whom I did not attend middle school nor elementary school with. Senior: I personally love Topeka High! I love most of the staff that works in the halls of Troy. I just disagree with a lot of what some of the staff believe when the appropriate time to use the bathroom. I love how diverse my school is. I love calling myself a Trojan and soon to be a Topeka High Alumni which is sad. The teachers here are personally in my biased opinion the best teachers in the world. Niche User: Many people come out of high school with accomplishments and memories but my journey was different even though l could say l made a few memories. I had a few friends which when Covid-19 happened we all fell apart, I did two sports which one of the was cross county which l had mixed feelings about. The other sport was tennis which l joined my senior and regretted not joining sooner. When I joined high school I was fairly new to everything including the country it self and knew no one. The link crew program at school helped a little with engaging activities they had every week. The year went by slowly and that’s when l joined the cross county team who were welcoming. I realized my potential as a leader when became a mentor. I didn’t experienced a lot because l didn’t have the confidence to go for it. Senior: This school takes in all kinds of students. The staff is actively making sure that everyone passes their classes. The teachers are amazing and there are plenty of sources to go to if you just need a break. The school is also especially good about taking care of the students mental need as well as taking care of the students who have children or disabilities. In a city with a large population and a variety of people with a variety of troubles, this is the place for students to take refuge. It also offers many unique opportunities that you may not find in other schools such as a nursery, a social worker, a wonderful counsellor, a pricipal who goes out of his way to make a connection with students, and smaller class sizes for students who don't do well in a crowded setting....
