Edgewood Junior/Senior High School
Parent: Edgewood Junior/Senior High School is a "school-of-choice" in Brevard County Florida. Only two schools in the county are designated schools of choice, where students are selected by a lottery system to attend the 7 through 12th grade school. As a school of choice, Edgewood faculty and academics focus on preparing the students to excel in their classes, sports, arts, SATs and college admissions. Small class sizes contribute to the personal one on one relationship with the teachers and administration. Students are encouraged to participate in sports, clubs or in the arts as well as a requirement to volunteer hours within the community. The school does not provide busing and that creates a "privilege culture" that limits the diversity on campus.
