Parent: We could not love this school more! We are blessed beyond measure to have had the opportunity for our children to attend CJ. Our youngest son will graduate in 2023. Our oldest son graduated in 2021. The change in him from 8th grade to his senior year is amazing. He thrived at CJ. He is an outstanding man of faith and character, and well prepared academically, mentally and emotionally for college and life. He was given every opportunity to find his passion and work on achieving his goals. Even during the difficulties of COVID, the school instituted processes that kept everyone safe while enabling students to keep up with academics. Our youngest son has also found his niche at CJ and is thriving. Our children could not be more different, yet each has found a home at CJ. Every single adult on on the CJ campus cares so much about each student. Alum: Most of the teachers at this school were very encouraging and kind. You could walk through the halls and not worry about not being understood or heard by your teachers. That is one thing that this school does well, is that they create a community of care. However, they are also very focused on sports and athletics. So much so that the other extracurriculars such as band or theatre don't get as much spotlight and recognition for all the hard work they have put in. If I could change one thing about this school, it would be to recognise the hard work that not only the students in the arts programs put in, but the staff and supervisors as well.... Parent: Dominion Academy of Dayton is a small private Christian school. I love that our school is like a family. Class size is usually between 5 to 10 students. Teachers are subject matter experts, and they love their students! Students who graduate Dominion consistently perform at the highest level in college. Senior: I think Troy High school is a great high school with an amazing family aspect. When I was a freshman the upper classmen made me feel very welcomed and now I hope to do the same for all the freshman. Troy has done an amazing way of implementing the “Trojan Way” and I think the school has benefited significantly since the beginning of this. We have amazing school spirit that is really what unites all of the students. One thing I would change about THS is getting air conditioning. Senior: When I first got to Bethel High school, I was very shy and didn’t have any friends. My father was a resource officer before I got there and everyone knew new as “Officer Warren’s son” and at first I thought it was cool but then It got really overused and I didn’t want people to think about when they see me. My freshman year there was a good but terrible year. Alum: Very helpful. Teachers and staff really care about students and give proper tools for success. The staff is very friendly and the teachers communicate with the parents on a weekly basis. There are several options for learning including online and in person. The lunch is free. There are electives and the school prides itself on credit recovery and alternative pathways to graduating. There is also also an adult program that allows people over the age of 22 to still qualify for a high school diploma. The school is safe for student and has security and safety screenings each morning as well as a monitored entrance with cameras and lock safety doors. Dayton Business technology High school also partners with several local colleges and Businesses to promote and educate students about becoming an entrepreneur or possible business owner.
