Alum: I wish that the band was better. When I switched to Winterset CSD in the middle of my junior year, I noticed that the band was a lot better. They have been to state competitions as well as nationals. Their jazz band has been to Europe, which says a lot. East Union on the other hand has a very sub par band and the instructor was too lenient for any real progress to be made. In parades, they sound like a middle school band and have never been to state in the past 20 years.
