Senior: I have attended Gulliver for years and they run an amazing educational system. All the students create great, professional relationships with their teachers and it really helps the learning process. Their Theatre department is outstanding. Everyone has amazing opportunities to broaden their acting and musical ranges. They have amazing sports teams and the student body has great school spirit. They have numerous clubs and programs to join and students can even create their own club if the one they want isn't available. I highly recommend this school. Senior: I love Palmer Trinity School because of the opportunities it has and will provide for me. Coming from a middle-class family, I never thought attending a school like Palmer Trinity would ever be possible. But the school gave me a scholarship and gave me an opportunity to attend this wonderful school. I truly value the academically challenging environment I am placed in and the peers surrounding me. Junior: Being a student in such a small school has this huge advantage: Each student has a plethora of opportunities to meet with teachers and ask for some extra help! Junior: Let me tell you, this high school is #1 in Florida and #4 in the nation for an excellent reason. This unique program 2-year program has been amazing. I have never been happier to switch to such a fantastic school. If you're lucky enough to be the few allowed into the school after applying, then you'll be able to experience a schedule that is unlike any other high school I have ever seen. You have 3 hours every single day to yourself (and college classes as this is a dual enrollment program) and to complete any work. The teachers and fellow students are just absolutely amazing! The environment is stunning as we are housed within a college campus; it's very open with lots of green! Not to mention this program allows you to start college 2 years early.. completely free! Alum: My school and campus, specifically, had overwhelming support for its students. The school counselor and teachers wanted all of us to succeed and it was really important to receive such support, especially at a dual enrollment school. Senior: This school is quite strict when it comes to uniforms and we moved into our new building this year and it is quite small. There is only 500 students so you are pretty much seeing the same faces everyday. There are also no sports. I am however grateful for the opportunity of being able to take dual enrollment classes at the FIU BBC campus for college credit. If you meet the requirements you can also qualify for full-time dual enrollment which may be beneficial if you wish to graduate with your Associates. If you are looking strictly for a STEM career then this is the school for you. I think that even though it is primarily focused on marine science there should be some more creative outlets. We have a journalism class but that is about it. At times the office is also a bit unorganized so it can be frustrating to get the information or documents you need. Overall it's a decent school.... Senior: I was in the visual communications strand. My passion for graphic design developed exponentially through my time there, though my explorations were pretty self-directed. The teacher is leaving this year so it'll probably be different next year. I know that the architecture teacher is great. The workload is quite intense, and if you expect to have flawless grades, you'll have to work significantly harder than in some other schools, as you have to produce quality art for a decent grade regularly. Junior: It's a good school for you if you wanna challenge yourself academically. Every course is advanced, so it's hard to have good grades, and the stress is real. It did help me to get out of ESOL, but I'm just an average student, and being fed with advanced classes just caused me to have bad grades in this school. Junior: I attended Jose Marti Mast for the past six years, and while this school has played a significant role in who I am as a person today, it was not without its faults. JMMA has provided me with a stellar education and teachers dedicated to their students, but it has failed in terms of activities and class unity. Lack of school spirit developed from poorly planned outings and in-school projects, making it harder to create a linked community. When students have concerns, it is challenging to turn to a staff that tends to be just as lost and misinformed as we are.
