Senior: Although I only attended Croatan my sophomore and senior years of high school, it was the best experience. The teachers and staff were kind, helpful, and very informative. I made lots of friends who are very good influences on everyone! The students and faculty are including and positive toward every person. Parent: We switched to Sheridan during the pandemic joining a small community that focused on the safety of our children while limiting the disruption to their education. The administration did a stellar job. What truly stands out is how well rounded a Sheridan education is. In addition to the more traditional academics, its arts and music instruction as well as its focus on diverse communities through the student clubs is truly exceptional. We chose a K-8 school because of the added focus on the middle school years which can be difficult transition years. As the school skews young the older kids don’t grow up too fast. This is a gentle school. Middle school students mentor the lower school students. My son loves his mentor and he looks forward to becoming a mentor to a lower school student himself. Finally, Sheridan is a school that builds confidence. In 7th grade, students lead their own high school selection under the guidance of their teachers. This is incredibly empowering!...Read 11 Reviews

Junior: I haven't been with Swansboro students and staff for very long. I moved here the year after they were recovering from hurricane Florence and then we got hit with Dorian, which wasn't too bad then covid hit. I'm the Junior class treasurer my second year being here. I'd say as long as you're friendly, they'll be friendly back. You definitely have to put yourself out there, but to be honest a lot of the students and teachers will gravitate towards you because that's just the type of people they are. I definitely think our science teachers are the most supportive and want the best for their students. I mean all of the teacher want whats best, but the science teachers will encourage their students and try their best to make sure their students don't fail and pass any state exams. They ask us how they should make something better from the upcoming students and let most things be based of student opinion so it's not forced...Read 220 Reviews

Alum: Going to FCA as a homeschool athlete was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The athletics program there not only focused on excellence in their sports but teaching valuable lessons about life through the coaching. It is also filled with the friendliest of people that show you nothing but love and respect. It does not matter where you come from or what you look like, if you start going to FCA its like being a part of a whole new family that wants you grow mentally, spiritually and physically. You will never find a school like FCA anywhere else in the world that focuses on your well-being...Read 5 Reviews

Parent: As my daughters prepare to graduate this May, I can't say enough about Saint Mary's School. SMS has been an exceptional experience for my two girls (twins). The level of engagement, community, academics, and spirit that SMS offers is unparalleled. Educationally, my girls and their peers are challenged to love learning and to learn to think critically. SMS helps them amplify their voices, find confidence, learn to lead, and fostered their individual growth. Both of my daughters love the Saint Mary's community and have enjoyed extracurriculars including participating in sports, the arts, and several student clubs and organizations, including student government. Saint Mary's girls truly do find and develop lifelong friendships, and I am simply in awe of the amazing network of alumnae they have available to them. I was also impressed that they were provided internship experiences prior to college! And, their four-year seminar program and college counseling is phenomenal. GoSaints!...Read 31 Reviews

Parent: Calvary Day School was a wonderful school for all three of my children. The academics prepared them well for their next steps and for college. My son received a significant academic scholarship from Baylor University where he has thrived. The Christian atmosphere of love, respect and an expectation of excellence supported our parenting approach during their teenage years. I believe we had more peace in our home from them being in a school full of light during their Middle School years. Calvary Day School played an integral part in the success of our children during their teenage years. This foundation is currently serving them well in college as they make good choices to live a life of significance. I highly recommend Calvary Day School!...Read 106 Reviews
