Parent: We choose ECS after moving to the Memphis area from another state. Our children are flourishing! They have made wonderful friends, the parents are so welcoming and involved and the teachers are just above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. They have appointed a new group of leaders to really guide the school into the next century of learning and create a culture of memory making and fun. Our transition into the ECS family has really helped us feel at home in our new community. ...If you are a Christian family looking into private education for your child, I highly recommend that you call the school for a tour or shadow. 901-754-7217Read 39 Reviews

Niche User: I wish the county had more money to fund more resources the elementary school needs for kids. The teachers and staff are great to work with and a great environment for the kids. They always have special events that students and parents can come too after school hours like science fairs, wax museums, or art night. Great sports and coaches too. The school does have a highly strong supported program for kids with disabilities too...Read 1 Review

Senior: The people (in my class specifically) are some of the most unique and just all around best people I could have hoped to attend school with. Parent: The school is in a safe area and the staff presses the importance of safety. The class sizes for my child have been 20 or fewer kids per class the last 3 years that my child has been there. Because the school is so small, all the teachers know pretty much all of the kids. There is something for everyone! This is the 4th school my child has been at and we will not move her away from it...Read 3 Reviews

Senior: Loretto High School is small in size and student body. Everyone knows everyone, and close friendships are easy to make. The only downside to the size of the school is the relationships teachers and staff create with the wealthy, well-known students. Some of the things ruled by the adults are made to benefit the wealthy/well-known, while leaving the outcasts to be outcasts. The small size of my school is a benefit, but overall the reason for unfairness...Read 80 Reviews

Junior: Summertown High School is one of the best places to learn from. From the many arts and literature programs to the athletics to the band, Summertown High School will always be held dear to my heart. Our school population, however, is very dense and increasing for our school size. Many attempts have been made to construct a new school nearby to solve this problem, yet, with lack of funding, our new school has been pushed further and further from our reach...In order for Summertown High School to be more successful, we must first address this issue of size. If we do not, then students and parents will be turned away due to lack of space within the school.Read 61 Reviews

Niche User: My siblings and I were previous students of Ingram Sowell Elementary School. While I was a student here, the school focused more on preparing students for middle school and high school, rather than college. However, by time my siblings attended the school, college preparation was also a stressed subject. Many of the teachers that I remember were very kind and compassionate about their jobs, they really enjoyed teaching the new generation. In most standards, Ingram Sowell wouldn't be said as "diverse". However, one must take in the setting of the school. In the rural south, most of the students are natives of the area... therefore are either white or black. There were not many Asian-American students who attended the school, and the school itself was predominately white. But, Ingram Sowell did not discriminate against any color and was quite an equal provider to all students...Read 8 Reviews

Alum: As a child of international parents moved from school to school, I found Oneness-Family School to be a warm, caring community, where I could explore my passions and interests, engage with my peers on creative projects, learn at my own pace, and enjoy a range of activities, including art, music, yoga, camping, and especially musical theater!...At Oneness-Family School, social and emotional learning is taught alongside a challenging academic curriculum. Parent: My daughter began attending St. Bernadette School in the 7th Grade following our move to Northern Virginia. We couldn't be more pleased with her experience. The teachers, staff, student and parents are dedicated, kind, and caring. They helped her transition to a rigorous Catholic education, including first-time instruction in religion, grammar, cursive, and Spanish. The school is part of a vibrant parish; the priests are about campus and in the classroom. St. Bernadette School is Catholic education at its best!...Read 34 Reviews
