Senior: I moved here my Junior year and was amazed by the extracurricular activities and fine arts departments! The teachers I've had are amazing and care about the students they teach every day. However, there isn't a lot of school spirit. Overall, it's a really nice school especially if you're into fine arts.... Read 101 reviews

Sophomore: I was hesitant with the choice to transfer my schooling to online and to ICL Academy. Will I learn? Will I have friends? The list goes on and on, but my concerns are no longer relevant following my first year of online schooling at ICL. I am shocked by my level of consistently motivated spirit to learn. I can confidently give the credit to the applicableness of my learning. I can easily relate it to myself. I am amazed by the increased efficiency during school time; through a good balance of structured learning, and freedom when necessary. Everyone has different needs and schedules. Icl does a tremendous job with flexibility. For example, I found I had some extra time during the day, so I enrolled in a college level psychology class and two more rigorous classes at they're sister school: Dwight Global. Most importantly, the community is amazing. Almost everyone participates on a high level, and there is no shortage of thoughts and opinions being dished out in class. 10/10 rec to ICl!... Parent: As a teacher who has taught 12 years in a public school setting, I would have never imagined choosing private school for my sons. After a tough year in kindergarten, my oldest son struggled and didn’t show much academic progress due to large class size. After much thought, I realized that a smaller class size is what he needed to cultivate the best learning environment. After researching all the available private schools here in Southern Frederick County, I was dismayed by the few options nearby. After thoughtful consideration, Barnesville fulfilled all of my expectations as a teacher parent. It provided small class sizes, a great amount of time spent outside, many cross-curricular learning opportunities, and a strong community. The teachers are extra caring and it was evident during our time distance learning. If you are looking for a school that offers meaningful relationships where your child is given many opportunities to grow and learn, Barnesville is for you!... Read 12 reviews
