Senior: While attending Rowan County Early College I had a great educational experience. I earned the opportunity to attend college at a young age and see what the college acceptance process was like. In middle school, I competed against fellow students in my district to earn a spot that only 60 students could earn. I earned a spot and worked hard even when I felt like I'd reached the hardest point. If I could change one thing about the program I'd change the environment. I feel as though we are one of the best schools in our district but our learning environment wasn't the best. I remember being part of a team to better our school and try to get funding for a new school building but we didn't have enough support. If I could change anything for future Rowan County Early College students it would be the learning environment. A better building with more classrooms and teachers. A diverse staff so students could feel more comfortable with teachers and tools to help them.
