Senior: My experience at Mercersburg has transformed me academically, personally, and spiritually. The faculty here are so devoted to us as students in all aspects of life here such as the dorm, in academics, and in our extracurricular endeavors. All of my teachers inspire me and challenge me to think and grow as a student. The academics are rigorous, yet all students are provided with many resources for help and support. It is really easy to get involved here and be an active participant in our community. There are so many clubs and activities where student initiative is highly encouraged. I love Mercersburg because of the people. Faculty and students alike have sparked growth in me through their generally very positive energy and lofty ideals.... Read 221 reviews

Senior: My time at Saint James has been absolutely wonderful! I could go on forever about the great food, the fantastic friends I have made along the way, the interesting teachers I have met, the immaculate vibes the campus holds, and so many other things that could not fit under 1000 characters. SJS is a delightful place to be and to send your children. While I was there, I was really encouraged to come out of my shell and try things that were new and terrifying. My only complaint is the lack of diversity among the teachers. It would be nice to have a teacher who looked like me every once in a while. That being said, SJS tries to make everyone feel included and definitely succeeds on that front. I will always hold this place in high esteem in my heart!... Read 61 reviews

Senior: St. Maria Goretti's diversity is what I like most about the school. We have many kids from diverse backgrounds. The teachers at the school go above and beyond to make sure we understand what needs to be done in the classroom. My teachers have prepared me to be college ready with the assignments, curriculum, and tests they give out. The students at the school help one another also during study hours and after school. Athletics at Goretti are on of the best. Playing basketball in the BCL (Baltimore Catholic League) has been one of my best experiences also. The league was very competitive every night. I have enjoyed attending school at Goretti.... Read 78 reviews

Parent: Our family has been blessed with a Dock Mennonite Academy education thus far for 2 of our 4 children! Our Middle School experience with smaller class/grade sizes, an academically challenging curriculum, as well as being welcomed into a loving and supportive community has helped our children and family as a whole! Incorporating a faith-based education into our lives has encouraged our children to develop a greater appreciation for different beliefs/religions as well as strengthening their own spiritual awareness. The friendships that have been made between families raising their children with the same values has made the middle school years much easier and with an incredible amount of support!... Senior: I loved the great education and effort all teachers put into every student. Every staff member truly cares about each student and always has a great effort. Greencastle has taught me more about giving to others and being grateful for the education I receive. The small town is definitely a place of unity and togetherness. Not only did I excel in my academics but my personality was shaped by both peers and staff. Never would I have gotten the same experience anywhere else!... Read 101 reviews

Parent: We have four children at Heritage this year, 1st, 6th, 9th and 12th grades. There have been many benefits, such as the high teacher to student ratio, teachers who all care deeply about their students, and a family atmosphere. I have never known of a student who did not graduate successfully, and the majority of graduates attend college. Older students are encouraged to take advantage of the local community college program in high school. Our girls volleyball and boys basketball teams are consistently on top. High school students have a high likelihood of serving on student government, being in the National Honor Society, and participating in Key Club. The music program is growing and thriving. The school administrator is fully comitted to his students and teachers, serving them selflessly and tirelessly each day of school year. He is committed to excellence. These are only some of the positive aspects of Heritage Academy.... Read 26 reviews

Junior: The most important thing about Grace Academy is how the teachers are there for you. No matter what you're facing or going through, you always have someone that is there for you and someone you can depend on. They prepare you for the reality and plant biblical principles within you. The staff is there to talk to you about your future and they listen to what you have to say. Chaple and small groups rotate every month which helps revive you throughout the week. A big benefit is having amazing lunch ladies who work hard to provide healthy food for all k3 to 12th-grade students. A lot of schools don't have healthy options for lunch but Grace Academy does there best to have tasty, healthy lunches. Another thing Grace Academy does, that you won't find at most schools, is having at least 3 staff members outside each morning to greet you when you come into school. No matter if it's raining or cold they will be there to greet you with a smile.... Read 22 reviews

Senior: I have been in the Shalom community since kindergarten, and this coming school year will be my last year at Shalom. I have had a wonderful experience at Shalom! I have made lifelong friends, received a great education with great, caring teachers, and learned many other life lessons. Although no school is perfect, I think Shalom Christian Academy is doing a great job compared to some other schools in and around other areas. I would like to see some changes in the dress code in terms of being more lenient and "changing with the times" because sometimes it is hard to follow guidelines when clothes are not sold that follow those guidelines. Also to maybe provide computers to students who do not have or can not afford one.... Read 45 reviews

Senior: Global Vision Christian School is where I got to open up so much opportunities I could not exploit before. To be honest, I was very hesitant to attend GVCS because of its long distance and the very fact that I had to leave my parents. But I wanted to take the given opportunity to study in a good environment where not only academics were regarded high but the spiritual value also. Being a GVCS student, I learned that interactions within the community was what conceived exceptional friendships and the loving and caring atmosphere helped me grow not only outwardly but outwardly also. I am also grateful on the school's focus to foster us students as global leaders and I have experienced this value in hand by their endeavors for us to experience different cultures as much as possible. They are very much open to the opinions of students and let us exploit new things such as new clubs and activities. It was through my time in GVCS that I was to build myself and aspire my future dream.... Read 17 reviews

Alum: Teachers are kind and very focused on each individual student. Because it is a small school, each one of us students was able to be worked with and promoted individually. Parent: The Admissions department made the application process seamless. They were easy to reach; gladly returned phone calls and inquiries; and, assisted with the application process during each step. Compared to other independent college prep institutions, RMA is a small school. However, we were thoroughly impressed with the diversity that we saw during the summer camp program; We were pleased to see that it carried over to the academic year. The curriculum is rigorous. The staff is caring. There are a variety of extracurricular activities that are day and boarding inclusive. Any family "on the fence" about RMA should definitely consider a second look, or reach out to staff. You'll be glad you did!... Read 162 reviews
