Parent: We chose WMA for its strong academic reputation noted for intelligent, caring faculty, a wonderful curriculum and diverse extracurricular activities but ended up getting far more! Our impression is that WMA somehow magically selects talented students from caring families creating an amazing student body full of smart but thoughtful human beings. This community quickly becomes a little family where the students support each other & feel cared for by faculty. WMA definitely has something for everyone. Not only was our son exposed to a vast array of Sports: Rugby, Water polo, Football and the Arts: Music/Theater but a myriad of other wonderful things. Most importantly though is the exceptional student body. It’s a nice balance between a “Mini United Nations feel” & Local Community Vibe blending perfectly students from this rural New England area and from across the globe. We were fortunate to host many students during breaks and now have lifelong friends throughout the world.... Read 98 reviews

Senior: E.O. Smith is a great community that allows other people from other towns to get an education. Not to mention that E.O offers a wide variety of college courses from UCONN, Eastern and Manchester Community College. UCONN allows students who go to E.O. to take their courses for free! When I graduate I will have over a semester of college credits done. What I would change is the amount of work load that we get as students. The average amount of time I spend on homework per subject is about two hours but at times it can be four hours.... Read 269 reviews

Parent: We were nervous about changing to PVCA, but everything we were nervous about has been addressed and we couldn’t be more happy with the school. We have 3 kids attending, the teachers have been amazingly responsive and love our kids just as much as we do! The academics are right on and as an educator myself, I am so happy with the learning taking place. My kids are safe, comfortable, happy and learning and growing in the Lord. Administration has been quick to respond and are forward thinking while upholding moral and ethical Christ centered values. My kids get more electives than they would in public schools in a culturally and linguistically diverse community! It’s such a warm welcoming community! The teachers have even shared their cell phone numbers and are happy to communicate regarding our children’s needs. I can’t say enough!... Read 63 reviews

Alum: Veritas School is academically rigorous, which prepares students for college. They stick to the Classical Christian method very well. Students read so many great books and are taught how to write and speak well. The teachers are wonderful. They really care about the students and focus a lot on building good relationships with the students. They have a lot of great options for music and the arts. Students are given the option between choir, strings, and lots of different types of art (things like ceramics and painting). The athletics are pretty good for Veritas being a smaller school. Their XC teams won the DII State Championship. Veritas just got a new soccer field. The campus is beautiful and very well taken care of.... Read 26 reviews

Senior: The teachers and the staff are very accomidating! My entire high school career has been made relatively easy thanks to my teachers. Junior: Rochambeau, French International school is an amazing place to spend your highschool years. Enriched by a multi-cultural student body, Rochambeau has the mix of rigorous academia and a fun social life. The school is primarily taught in French, following the Baccalaureate curriculum. Students are given the option of classes they wish to develop as their "specialties': these include Humanities, Philosophy and French Literature, Social Economic Science, Political Science, Physics, Biology, and Maths. Most teachers are extremely insightful and engaging, and show off an extremely impressive resume from working at international schools around the world. One disadvantage that the school has would maybe be it's limited class size (200 in whole highschool) However, this could be considered a good thing as most students are really close.Overall, the bi-lingual education that is offered with the IB system serves as extremely good preparation to college, while still being a formative experience.... Junior: In the many options that were offered to the young adults at the end of 8th grade, The Woodstock Academy has been everything I anticipated. The schooling in STEM fields is above average in the fact that they allow you to take as many STEM related classes as you wish while diverting those credits to fill other mandatory high school requirements. This shifting of credits allowed me to take more science and math classes than I imagined I could. Sports was also incredible during the years that I played. There is two campuses with courts of all kinds and an athletic center in between both campuses designed to support many different sports. This complex has two baseball fields, a smaller soccer field, a football field, and a track for track related sports. The tennis courts on the complex are currently in renovation. Now that I am a junior, I am happy to say that I don’t regret selecting my high school from the options I had and that anyone who is thinking of going here definitely should.... Read 217 reviews
