Freshman: All of the people I've met at any of the Haas campuses have been extremely kind and welcoming. This will be my second year attending Haas Hall and I'm looking forward to joining a few of the many clubs this school has to offer, which include but are not limited to Quiz Bowl, Beta Club, Film Club, Community Service Club, a bowling team, and a club created to help young writers nurture their skills and improve. We have a mental health checkup every Wednesday in which we are asked whether or not we'd wish to schedule an appointment with our guidance counselor and have a very college focused environment, where we are notified of chances for scholarships and given opportunities to earn community service hours. The only thing I would think to change about this school is the stress we are put under to do well while being taught advanced curriculum. Freshman: I absolutely LOVED Fulbright!!! It was the best school I had ever been to. I am Indian and in my previous schools, I was almost always the only Indian in the school. At Fulbright, there are TONS of Indians, making it an extremely competitive environment (which I love). I was a member of Mathcounts and Robotics and the MathCounts team has sent 2 kids to Nationals and the Robotics team sent 4 teams to the World Championship, of which 2 of the teams were among the top 50 teams in the world (there are about 4000 teams around the world). I had the honor of being part of one of those teams and it was amazing. Fulbright has increased my scores in all subjects and I would HIGHLY recommend going to Fulbright, especially if you like a competitive environment.... Read 4 reviews

Parent: Evening Star Elementary has been a great school home for our family! The teachers, staff, and kids care a lot about each other - and it shows. We moved halfway through the school year, and the transition for our son was so seamless, putting all worries at ease. It's like he picked up where he left off at his old school (out of state). We're also amazed at how the staff members know every student's name! An improvement we'd like to see is a security presence, such as a campus officer. Senior: Choosing New Tech as my high school was the best decision I've ever made as it has taught me lessons not only related to class but about life as well. Lessons that will take me farther beyond any math or English class could. New Tech taught me how to pursue life beyond high school. Not only was it highly advanced but highly abundant in the amount of opportunities given to those just attending. I've earned several certifications and attended college classes during my final highschool years at a discounted price. Nothing else I've mentioned could top the "teachers" or facilitators as we call them as we the students lead our work and are only guided by our facilitators. They make the classes what they are and it is something truly amazing. It is really mind blowing how someone could make a history class actually fun! Senior: When I started my academic career here, in 2020, it was scary at first. The newness and being straight out of quarantine made me nervous because I was worried I wasn't going to fit in my freshman year. In a hundred ways I was wrong because I think my teachers did an amazing job with the seating charts. I made plenty of new friends in different grades, and it helped my socialization skills significantly. I've always been social, but after COVID-19, I feel like everybody has become a different version of themselves. Going forward to my sophomore year, I felt good enough to participate in several different clubs. Key Club, Skills USA, etc, I was feeling so happy to be participating in my school and getting a few service hours. I decided to not continue doing clubs, but everything else academically stayed the same. Senior: I definitely think that Bentonville High School is an amazing school. There are so many incredible opportunities for students, including participation in the Ignite program, Capstone Diploma program, International Baccalaureate, and dual enrollment with North West Arkansas Community College. My only complaint is that as a sophomore-year transfer, I was not given information on these opportunities and had no idea what they were until it was too late to participate. This is a minor setback compared to the ample opportunities I did receive. There is a class for everyone here, including agriculture classes, computer science classes, and tons of art classes. The food is amazing, with choices between nachos, sandwiches, pizza, chicken nuggets, and a grab-and-go cooler with various drinks and snacks! Did I mention there is an ice cream freezer? Senior: Shiloh is a really good school to be at! I struggled for a long time to find a school that fit me. When I made the decision to go to Shiloh I was pretty nervous because I was new and most the kids have known each other for a while. But the first day I got there I made a friend within 10 minutes. The teachers at Shiloh really care about how their students are doing and want to see us succeed. Most of the teachers are very interactive with students and the security officers are also very nice and can pick up a conversation with just about anyone. There are two things I am a little disappointed about with Shiloh. First, some of the classes that I am taking are complete blow-offs. Next is diversity. It has gotten a bit better as I have been at Shiloh but it still seems like it could improve. I understand that that is not the schools fault but I still would like to see a little more diversity in a school like this. Other than that it is a great school and I recommend it to everybody!... Senior: Overall I really enjoyed school. It had some great classes, clubs, and teachers. However the school had problems with enforcing attendance on students and stopping fights. Also some of the teachers just didn't seem to care that much and barely put in any effort. Mainly those teachers that were coaches. However there were also really great teachers who cared about their subject and helped me learn a lot. My biggest problem was just how much our schedule changed. It changed start times, number of class periods, and class lengths on year to year bases and that was pretty annoying. However, overall I loved the environment, my classes and my experience.... Alum: I'm a graduating high school senior at the time of writing, and my only memories of Bernice Young are positive. Each of my teachers put their hearts into the classroom, and the students are respectable and eager to learn. I remember in third grade, my teacher, Mrs. Powell, put us in a circle around the classroom, and we played "Mathematics Around The World," which was a competitive game to teach multiplication and something I spent hours preparing for. (I never won the game, but now I'm majoring in a mathematics-based field in college.) Along with daily teaching, the kids rotate through "specials": art class, music, library, computer lab, and PE. The PE teachers were always so involved that it made me enjoy athletics. And the music/theater class is a hallmark to Bernice Young. Each child participates in the musical either as a chorus member or by playing a role. I remember really enjoying it and joining other plays at my local theater as a result.
