Junior: York Country Day School is a phenomenal school! By having the opportunity to take college classes as juniors/seniors and having an AMAZING college counselor to help with the college process, YCDS is great at prepping their students! The only thing that the school lacks is diversity but, it is such a welcoming environment!... Read 27 reviews

Alum: From Kindergarten to my senior year, Logos gave me a truly wonderful experience. The entire place is like a second home to me! I learned things I'm certain I would've never learned in public school, the teachers always cared about me as a person, and the opportunities given (and taken!) while I was there were astounding.... Senior: Moravian is heading in the wrong direction, they are a private school that costs a lot to attend and yet they are removing any type of formality from the school. We might as well not have chapel any more because it has become both meaningless and godless. Our dress code has become so lax that we look like a public school. The administration is so out of touch with the students and pushing horrible initiatives on us. While I enjoy the social and academic aspect of Moravian it certainly has declined since I started attending in pre-kindergarten.... Read 70 reviews

Junior: I would like to see better resources for college, and more guidance in picking a college. I think that the system of how things are done should be better. The teachers are amazing, at least the ones I’ve had, and are very supportive and understanding. They have helped me in school, but emotionally through my times of need and were very understanding. The sports are average, but spirit is very high. There are many opportunities for clubs in school and out of school. The lunch ladies are the sweetest women ever. Super sweet! I have developed such a relationship with all of them in just three years of being at the high school. Their words are so kind. It’s the little things. They also try and improve in any way that they can. It’s amazing!... Read 174 reviews

Senior: Delone Catholic provides a unique education with hands on learning and the ability to set good habits to provide a strong future. The smaller class sizes allow students to feel like they are not just another id number, but like an individual with lots to offer the community. The Delone community is a family and people frequently come back to give back or just to visit and say hi. The teachers take their time to set up lessons that will best benefit each specific class and to set their students up for success. The sports teams are excellent for players of all different levels and are a great opportunity to meet new people and show pride for the school. The lunches are great and have a wide variety, and the cafeteria staff are very kind and make it feel like home. Delone Catholic is a great school and truly sets people up to exceed in college, a career, or wherever life takes them after high school. The school has something for everyone and is a blessing to the community.... Read 126 reviews

Parent: I have had a daughter recently finish St. Rose and move on after 7 years of attending and now have a son in 4th grade. St. Rose is a family. I never worry about them when they are at school because I know they are taken care of like they would if they were home with me. The staff is amazing and so caring. They all know each by name, not just those they work with on a regular basis. The other families share our ethical beliefs. We have made amazing friends and a wonderful support system by being part of the St. Rose family!... Read 8 reviews

Parent: I couldn’t be happier with such an amazing school for my kids. Teachers are so well prepared, caring and demand the best for our children. HT is the most diversed catholic school in York like no other and treats all kids with respect in a very safe environment. It was one of the very few schools that did such a great job since the first days of the pandemic lockdown. They have the best healthy food choices, great music program and several after school activities. We are so blessed to be part of this institution. Kids learn a great sense of community service too. After 8 years of being part of this family I can’t ask for more.... Read 2 reviews

Senior: I've enjoyed being a student in the Prince George County, Virginia district. I have felt challenged in the International Baccalaureate, the Advanced Placement, and the Dual Enrollment programs. I feel that they have all adequately prepared me for college. The small town atmosphere is amazing and I like the way it feels when teachers know me by name. The only way that the school system can improve would be to offer more classes in personal finance and budgeting so that I will feel better prepared to live on my own after high school and college.... Freshman: My name is Riley Medina and I am a current 9th grader at the Shipley School! I can confidently say that I love this school and it's really helped shape who I am today. I'm involved in Shipley girls soccer and Shipley girls basketball. Shipley sports have always been one of my absolute favorite things about the school due to the excellent training from my coaches and significant team bonding between my peers. Academically, i'm currently take geometry, intro to physics, history 9: worlds in collision, english 9 honors, and french II honors. I really enjoy all of my classes this year. I especially enjoy the french and english department, with the books we read in english and the activities and projects we do in french. I would recommend Shipley to outside families because of how much of a community it truly feels like and because of the sports, art, and theatre program, allowing students to be able to express themselves and develop or strengthen passions for these categories....
