Senior: What I liked the most about my time at Charleston Catholic would have to be the community aspect of our small school. Because the school is so small, I have come to develop some of the strongest friendships I think I will ever have in life. These were made in my classes, which averaged about 10 students per class, as well as through school sports and activities. I was a committed member of our high school girls soccer team, where I have been blessed to win 3 state championships during my time on the team. I also participated in the swim team, where my relay attended the state meet twice, and various clubs and activities - such as the Science National Honors Society, and the HOPE Project. All of these things have led me to be the person I am today, and for that I am extremely grateful...Read 67 Reviews

Parent: I “STRUCK GOLD” WITH THIS SCHOOL!I'll tell you why:1. Trinity has high academic AND holistic standards that are achieved through top-of-the-line programs combined with in-depth lessons of the Fruits of the Spirit!2. The school is very responsive to parent questions/suggestions/concerns. When an issue arises, action is taken without delay and solutions are quickly and respectfully implemented.3. The school is grounded in honesty and transparency, which is evident in ALL communication.4. The head of school is PRESENT, ACCESSIBLE & DOWN-TO-EARTH. He is purposely visible each morning and afternoon carline and regularly sends out clear, concise communication..It’s fitting that Trinity’s school colors are green and gold. To me, the gold stands for the unwavering quality and the green for the positive growth in so many directions that all the teachers, faculty and staff so lovingly nurture in each individual child...Trinity education is TRULY a Preparation for LIFE.Read 11 Reviews

Parent: Like ANY school, the educational opportunity is there if the child wants it. There are ample resources and dedicated educators to guide your child. I have two children who attended JA, one a strait A gifted kid and another not so strait A nor gifted. Both struggled at times and both succeeded at times. I have no complaints. I don't have the patience to teach school, so I can't complain about those that do. Thank you Michelle Obama for nasty food. That's the only complaint my kids have had...Read 8 Reviews

Freshman: I've been going to TVCS since I was in kindergarten. I have made life-long friends, wonderful relationships with my teachers, and I have received an outstanding education! My teachers genuinely care about my academic knowledge! More importantly, they care about my well-being and heart. I am a cheerleader, a saxophonist in the band, and a chapel leader in the chapel band (vocals). These are just three examples of wonderful activities represented at my school. Our basketball team is always ready to provide an exciting game, and the student council is always ready to provide popcorn and snacks. TVCS is my second home. I could never imagine myself in a different school. I have grown as a friend, as a person, as a sister, as a student, as a daughter, and as a Christian here...Read 43 Reviews

Alum: Within my fours years at Capital High School, I learned and experienced new things that I’d never thought I would have the opportunity to when entering high school. I met new life-long friends and teachers that I can call and run to when I’m in need. The staff and administrators always encouraged their students to strive and that everybody is somebody in that school...Read 167 Reviews

Senior: I’ve loved the overall atmosphere. We have teachers who care deeply for they’re students. Chapel is once a week, usually on Fridays. I’ve loved how they choose different preachers each week. Yes it is a Christian school, but that is something it does struggle with to an extent...Read 23 Reviews

Parent: I love the Catholic education my son is receiving. We have been with this school 2012 and we love it! This is a village and everyone is always willing to help. Parent: As a teacher who has taught 12 years in a public school setting, I would have never imagined choosing private school for my sons. After a tough year in kindergarten, my oldest son struggled and didn’t show much academic progress due to large class size. After much thought, I realized that a smaller class size is what he needed to cultivate the best learning environment...After researching all the available private schools here in Southern Frederick County, I was dismayed by the few options nearby. After thoughtful consideration, Barnesville fulfilled all of my expectations as a teacher parent. It provided small class sizes, a great amount of time spent outside, many cross-curricular learning opportunities, and a strong community. The teachers are extra caring and it was evident during our time distance learning. If you are looking for a school that offers meaningful relationships where your child is given many opportunities to grow and learn, Barnesville is for you!...Read 12 Reviews

Parent: My kids have been attending Basis since before the pandemic, and we are so impressed! Rich academic curriculum, good inclusion of the arts, excellent opportunity for differentiation based on student needs. The teachers are dedicated and so are the parents to the kids' success. While the administration has been bumpy as the school has gotten established (only 5 years old), they earned their stripes during the pandemic. Organized, safety-focused and diligent about communication. We supplement school with sports leagues and scouting outside of school, which many parents do. Easy to do given the extensive choice you have in the DC area. Also appreciate the international study body with impressively bright students from all over the world. A real meritocracy, unlike other private schools that admit based on VIP status or connections/donations. In the next few years, this school will only continue to advance its place in the rankings...Read 43 Reviews
