Senior: My experience at Mission Early College Highschool is great. The school is so supportive and will help you achieve your goals and push you to thrive! They are so welcoming and fun, everyone is involved and no one is left out! Its such a small school that’s we are a family and like to do things together! Parent: My daughter is an example of what an ICS education can do. She started in the 3 year old class and became a proud graduate. Immanuel prepared her academically for UTEP. Many of her professors immediately recognized that she came from a private Christian school because she knew how to study, listen, write, take notes, and excel. She ended up graduating from UTEP magna cum laude with a Business Degree in Human Resources. She is currently working as a payroll processor and is working her way up. Our experience there was phenomenal and everyone, from teachers to students to faculty, provide you with a community that is super uplifting. Junior: I have attended this school since the sixth grade in which I underwent a rigorous application process that consisted of interviews, tests, and writing. These are all fundamentally necessary to not only succeed in school , but also in life, and they began to implement these necessities before we were even admitted. I have witnessed my peers grow and develop into wonderful people that can overcome many obstacles placed in their path. All the administration have given us the tools we need to ultimately survive. While this is a huge aspect of YWLA, so are the academics, extracurricular activities, and organizations. The teachers are wonderful, engaging, and are ready to help at any time, even when they are not related to academics themselves. Everyone can tryout for sports and apply to organizations and there will never be any pushback. Senior: Harmony is a small growing charter school. Here you are taught discipline as it's highly enforced, but don't be scared it's not bad. For a small school we have a culturally diverse student body and some decent clubs and sports. Our middle school boys, varsity boys basketball and cross country teams are all really great if sports are important. Other than sports we have a very good VEX robotics club where teams have gone to state. Most teachers are very nice and are excellent at their job however you will have that one teacher who talks more than they teach, who waits for the last three days of the quarter to add up all the grades into the book but not all teachers are like that. The food is pretty mediocre but it's not bad at all. There's not a lot of bullying at this school if any, a lot of the issues that go on are between student to student who have issues however fights have never been a big issue.... Read 107 reviews

I would also bring other communities together like Asian American Association, African Students Organization, Undergraduate Korean Association, and other organizations into a collective community where they can freely listen and share with other nations' people and cultures. Alum: The teachers are care so much for each student. Unlike other schools where it feels like prison, you actually want to keep going to school. Senior: Early College was an opportunity that could not be passed. It was a great experience and provided me with many advantages and opportunities such as getting a head start in college. I graduated from the community college after my junior year and unfortunately I have to end my senior year online. However, the staff has made the process easy and they continued being as helpful as possible for every student in the school. Not only was I able to receive my associate’s degree while in high school, I was able to save so much time and money. This is something to take into consideration for the future and to think ahead. I’d advice the school to incorporate sports into it so more students are interesting in going. It’d motivate everyone to strive and do their best in classes. Alum: The small environment provides a personalized student-teacher relationship and within the students themselves. The athletics department, although small, is great. I was a varsity player in soccer for my whole studies here and basketball for one year, and I can confirm they have a good program; they are incredibly kind people and overall an excellent way to grow as a teenager. In academics, I wish they had the ability to incorporate AP courses, honors classes might not be enough for the over-achievers. As most are from Juarez and cross the bridge every day, the school supports international students like myself a good deal. Speaking Spanish is nowhere near mandatory, but for cultural involvement among students, it certainly is helpful. I'm glad I went here, nothing more to say.... Read 27 reviews

Senior: Eastlake high school has been a great learning experience from getting exposure of the working world and preparing us the students to be mentally and physically prepared. Just by helping me and others to problem solve and contemplate through our logical way. By this all the school staff were all useful and helpful to each and every one. Furthermore, there is some things that can change or improved in Eastlake by making the school environment a more healthier place for my peers to make them more comfortable and safe in there surroundings. Also, a thing that can change is adding more life skills in school therefore, being prepared as well with knowing how and what to do in situation for adult hood. such as, bills like what type of bills and when we should pay it, taxes, employment and etc. All these things we need to be prepared so we won’t struggle and stress when these things happens.
