Senior: The school is very inclusive with their students. Always avaliable to help whenever needed and also avaliable when a student needs someone to talk to. The reason why I give a four star rating is due to some of my experiences with teachers. Some teachers has close connections with students, which is awesome to have! Unfortunately other unfavorited students do not get the same treatment, it is rather worst. My experience with my Freshman and Sophmore Englsh teacher was by far the worst. Some days she acted as if I wasn't there, and others she would call me out in front of the entire class just to embarrass me. This happened commonly with the students who looked as if they lived in poverty/lower class, or others who are not as educated as her favorited students.... Read 137 reviews

Senior: The school offered numerous programs and many pathways for potential degrees and/or trade school jobs/careers after high school. Salina South worked really well with the surrounding colleges to help the students get the best education possible. They worked with K-State, Kansas Wesleyan, and Salina Tech. They really just wanted to set the children up for success and give the kids as many resources as possible to make sure they knew where they were going after high school. Personally, the school has allowed me to excel in every class and participate in many activities hosted by the school. I am currently the High School Marching Band Drum Major and by being apart of the band I have experienced the fantastic school spirit and made many friends along the way. The school encourages community and humanitarian involvement in the town and state to educate the kids on working towards a reliable, sustainable future for all. Niche User: Overall, my experience at this school was alright. I saw some stuff happen such as cursing or bullying and a teacher would be right there and blatantly ignore it sometimes. Overall, the reason why I have a problem with this school was my junior year I got stuck with a poor Latin teacher, who's name I won't disclose, but the school handled it pretty well and helped me fix my schedule so that I was able to graduate as a Kansas scholar. This school is alright and the staff are all pretty nice people, some of the best science educators you could ask for. They are all very caring and understanding and try to work with you.... Senior: My time at Ell-Saline has been more than rewarding. The teachers build relationships with their students to help them achieve and grow. The students are accepting. They recently made adjustments and changes to help the students during the pandemic. I feel safe and happy here.
