Senior: My experience is really just based on perspective, I would say. Ive spent the majority of my Highschool struggling. Struggling to get out of the cloud I'm faced with daily. Realized who I can be if I just stick to myself and pull through. Not give up. How smart I am when I put forth the effort. Not only was I struggling, but I was also failing. Failing at everything I worked so hard to make happen. Until I enrolled in Cosmetology. My Instructor changed me, taught me to remove the heaviness I carry on my shoulders, the pain in my veins, and keep going. Not for others, but for myself. When my grades were bad, she tutored me. When my head was full, she cleared it. My experience was the obstacles I had to face when I had no one. I found who Tara is, just by having a Teacher Impact. Even if I didn't want to be a Cosmetologist, she was there. I hope this doesn't come off as pity, I just want to give credit to the woman who helped me experience Highschool. I hope you can see that too.

Parent: I went to this school and now my child attends. I think this is an awesome school because you don't hear about gang involvement, shootings, drugs, etc. like you do in other schools. This school was a safe environment for me and has been a safe environment for my child. One of the things I absolutely love about this school is that it has more opportunity for one-on-one interaction between the student and teacher. School administration is a positive force that encourages the students to succeed and they seem to show genuine concern for students' well-being. They have an at-risk counselor who spots an issue and intervenes. While to school is small and doesn't have some of the activities a larger school may offer, it does the absolute very best it can with the resources available.
