Parent: Our experience with Kents Hill School has been life changing! From the beginning, the faculty and staff demonstrated their love for families' needs and the students' hopes. The atmosphere breathes kindness for one another. Kents Hill students are happy to be a part of their community and it shows! The student leaders' are awesome. They help to welcome, guide and influence the new students to make Kents Hill School a home away from home. We look forward to the years abroad for study and of meeting new friends and family. We would always encourage all to give their children the opportunity of a Kents Hill School education.... Read 67 reviews

Senior: When I was younger, school was a source of confidence. I felt like I was good at it and could end the day feeling accomplished. As I got older, that changed. School became frustrating. It began to make me feel badly about myself. This was so discouraging and degrading. I started not wanting to go to school, not wanting to even try. My sophomore year I knew things had to change if I wanted to have a good future and go to a good college. We found Cortona Academy and, honestly, my life changed! Cortona Academy made me feel good about learning again and helped build-up my confidence. They made school less frustrating, making sure I understood something before moving on, making certain I had a strong foundation and could successfully tackle any subject put in my path. Cortona Academy helped bring up my GPA and, most importantly, helped me feel ready for college. I no longer feel discouraged; I no longer feel like I can't. Cortona Academy has shown me that I “can,” no matter what.... Read 24 reviews

Senior: Messo High has amazing resources and teachers. Currently they are trying to prioritize student's health, which is great. There's so many great clubs and sports to try out as well! Messalonskee takes the time to update what's needed and listen to the student body's needs. Great school spirit. If I could ask to change anything, it's be more collaborating with other schools in the area, for more than just sports.... Read 140 reviews

Senior: Maine Arts Academy (Formerly Snowpond Center For The Arts) is an incredibly diverse, compelling high school. It is the only performing arts high school in Maine at this moment and hosts children from all around the state (and world, each year we take in around five or six foreign exchange students). The school is located on a beautiful campus that belongs to New England Music Camp in the summer. Our school is full of talent, with students ranging from classical pianists to chamber singers to visual artists. All of our theater performances are student written and directed, we also put on many other performances such as recitals and art shows. It's an amazing school, however it's new. After five years of being open we're finally learning what works for us communication-wise, but there’s a long way to go. Administration is learning, the students are learning with them. All in all, it's a wonderful place to attend if you love the arts.... Read 7 reviews

Parent: As a child I attended all three of the Vassalboro schools (East, River side, and Carl B. Lord) before the big school was built consolidating them into one. Since becoming a parent of Four girls I moved back into the Vassalboro school system. I was nervous about this change because my kids were already enrolled in a school we loved. VCS school looks like a castle, a brick building with "towers". Once inside the walls are covered in paintings, almost as if the pages of a story book coming alive. There is a room were Student accomplishments are displayed , basked in the natural sunlight provided by the sky light. Since placing my children in this school they have flourished not only academically but on a social and emotional stand point.... Read 10 reviews

Senior: I have been going to Temple Academy since I was six years old in kindergarten. Graduating in the next couple months has had me recalling all the good things Temple has been for me in my childhood. Temple Academy is a nondenominational private school that encourages you to strive for greatness, dig further into your faith, and to be the best you can be in every aspect of life. The staff is very personable and care a lot about each and every student who is going, or ever went, to Temple. Being a small private school, the education is very good, and they are constantly finding new ways to improve and expand their books every year. I highly recommend Temple Academy as a school for anyone seeking personable relationships and religious freedom.... Read 17 reviews

Middle School Student: I've been a student at Mount Merici Academy for two years. MMA is a school that prides itself on making sure you feel welcome. The moment you step into the school you are greeted with smiling faces and kind hearted people who want to help you grow not only academically, but emotionally and spiritually. The environment is refreshing and it becomes a second home to all who attend. As I am in my last year at the school, I can confidently say that MMA has successfully prepared me academically for high school. The work is advanced and challenging. Apart from the curriculum, the faculty is one of a kind. The teachers are loving and caring, and make your experience at the mount memorable. The core values they have shown me will stick with me and I always find myself applying what I've learned here in my everyday life. Overall, if you're looking for a school that is going to provide your child with love, guidance and respect on their path to success, Mount Merici is the place for you.... Read 1 review

Parent: Our son started at Holy Trinity last year during the Pandemic and the school just became our family. Through all sorts of ups and downs, they were incredibly supportive. They addressed the pandemic with thoughtfulness and resourcefulness. We feel fully engaged in the amazing community. The other parents have become great new friends. The administration and teachers are very welcoming and accommodating. The classwork has been so creative and fun for our now Kindergartener. He loves coming to school everyday and has formed great bonds with his classmates. There's great aftercare. We can't wait for our other children to join him.... Read 4 reviews
