Alum: Very nice school to attend. The Arts Department is very talented and well funded as well! You are bound to grow here and find a place where you'll belong. The environment is very supportive and gives you the opportunity to make yourself known. The staff and custodians genuinely cares about your well being and provides many opportunities for you to express yourself- from group activities to reaching out to an adult by sending your concerns via CMHS app or in person. The curriculum can be definitely challenging and vigorous sometimes, but it is all worth it and leaves you feeling more prepared then you ever thought you would be. Junior: I love Loyola and can’t imagine my time in high school being spent at any other school. The academics are challenging and there are opportunities for kids to take AP and Honors classes. The class sizes are small as well, which I love. There are countless clubs and activities to get involved in at Loyola and there is truly something for everyone. Parent: Airline High school is. A wonderful school! My child has always felt safe and has received excellent academic teaching’s. As a Viking, he’s had many opportunities to be involved in different sprout and activities. Junior: I like how diverse Byrd is, it's the first school I've been to since the third grade where I see more diversity. Mostly I've been to predominantly-black schools, but Byrd is even better than the schools I've been to! I began to come here my sophomore year, and I had some great classes! Freshman: Probably one of the best Louisiana schools in terms of academics, and any student willing to try will be prepared for high school and college. Alum: Herndon magnet is by far the best school! no one is left out , its a huge family! all the teachers care and are there to help you! Parent: Calvary is an excellent private school. The administration goes above and beyond to make each child feel special and unique. The academics are challenging and produce well rounded intelligent students. The only area lacking would be the music department. At this time, there is not a choir or band. Senior: I entered into PCA my freshman year. I believe that it is one of the best educations a student can receive. The teachers are all former professionals in their field (the chemistry teacher was a chemist at a major lab for 15+ years, the English teacher has published many works, etc). The teachers put massive amounts of energy into their lesson plans and take lots of personal time to help struggling students. I could not rate the teaching any hire. Absolutely Excellent! The school is incredibly religious, so take that with a grain of salt when considering if you want to send a student there. They WILL be pressured to convert if they are not already a Christian. (Daily GRADED theology classes, mandatory chapel, etc.) If you are a Christian then it is a very supportive environment. School spirit is pathetic. Basically no sports. Senior: I liked most of my teachers' commitment to my education. Campus safety and our school resource officers are outstanding. There are many teachers who are in charge of sports and clubs that are too involved socially with the students, and therefore the ensuing drama, prohibiting them from making the best decisions on behalf of those sports or clubs as the adults in charge. College preparation is left largely up to the individual student and family compared to other area schools. Junior: I went through a very difficult time in my life before I came to WOGA, I honestly did not like myself and I did not want to live anymore. I felt no worth, and I didn't know God. I came to Word of God Academy my freshmen year and my whole life changed. I came from a public school that will remain anonymous, where the classes had about 30 students and almost all of the teachers did not care about the students. My first year at WOGA had about seven students in my grade and all of the teachers wanted to know everything about me. Everyone made me feel extremely comfortable right away. I am a Junior now, and I just got baptised in December 2019, a month ago!
