Parent: Fantastic experience at LC. This is a very warm, happy place where my son feels confident to explore anything on offer. The writing program is excellent, the academics are top notch, the sports are better and better every year. LC has a gift for accepting cool, down to earth bright kids who work hard and have fun. The kids here seem genuinely kind and supportive of each other, though this is a group of high achieving, highly academic and competitive students. Some schools have more traditionally recognizable names but LC feels like a welcoming community. My son has made truly interesting and impressive friends, no drama, just motivated, cool kids.... Alum: I graduated from Suffield Academy in 2018 after attending the school for three years. Suffield is one of the most welcoming places a student could attend, with ample opportunity to get involved, improve on all aspects of curriculum, and meet lifelong friends. Suffield truly cares about their students and faculty. Even two years later I miss my time there, and continue to build on relationships I made at Suffield! As a Suffield Tiger, be prepared to engage in all aspects of the community, academics, athletics, the arts, and clubs. Students are encouraged to participate in the fields in which they excel in, as well as challenging them to try something new with overwhelming support! This is absolutely a school to consider for high school/college prep. If you are looking at other similar schools, you truly will not find one like Suffield Academy.... Read 238 reviews

Parent: While sending my daughter to study abroad, I worried about her life and academics very much. However, the teachers and dorm parents in this school proved that my choice is correct! With the combined efforts, the school as a whole improved our daughters physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. This year, my kid is accepted by the Boston University, and I'm so proud of her! Without the generous help/recommendations from school teacher she couldn't get so many great offers, there is no doubt that SCA is one of the best boarding schools in the state.... Read 42 reviews

Senior: The school has many good teachers that do truly care about the students' educational wellbeing. These teachers give helpful feedback and are always willing to put in extra time to help the students. On the other hand, there are also some teachers who do not give meaningful lessons, assignments, or feedback so the student cannot advance. The facilities and resources are exceptional and the student can truly strive in fields like science and art with the facilities provided. One thing that definitely needs improvement is the food. There was rarely any meals that students were excited to eat. A lot of the meals were those that students disliked.... Read 167 reviews

Parent: We were nervous about changing to PVCA, but everything we were nervous about has been addressed and we couldn’t be more happy with the school. We have 3 kids attending, the teachers have been amazingly responsive and love our kids just as much as we do! The academics are right on and as an educator myself, I am so happy with the learning taking place. My kids are safe, comfortable, happy and learning and growing in the Lord. Administration has been quick to respond and are forward thinking while upholding moral and ethical Christ centered values. My kids get more electives than they would in public schools in a culturally and linguistically diverse community! It’s such a warm welcoming community! The teachers have even shared their cell phone numbers and are happy to communicate regarding our children’s needs. I can’t say enough!... Read 63 reviews

Parent: I like that the school is diverse and very clean they did excellent during covid. Uniforms where I slight bit mor expensive than expected but they do last depend on how your child grows. My child does have a little issue with school lunch although it's not bad, culturally our food is just different, so I suggest giving your kid lunch from home, if possible, maybe twice a week to get them comfortable. all the teachers even the ones that are not interactive with my child do to grade differences, still know her and that stood out. Parent: Academy Hill understands and completes its mission, which is to offer a faster paced and non-repetitive academic environment for motivated students and their families. Very small classes and veteran teachers have made a curriculum that is progressive without being arduous. Teaching methods focus on active learning, discussion, individual responsibility, and building confidence, though writing in particular is critical to the school's success. The emphasis on public presentation has amazing results in many ways-- psychologically, academically and even in the area of community building. Our child was admitted to a very strong high school and we feel that Academy Hill was essential to the subtle advantages our child gained.... Read 4 reviews

The teachers, staff, student and parents are dedicated, kind, and caring. They helped her transition to a rigorous Catholic education, including first-time instruction in religion, grammar, cursive, and Spanish.
