Parent: Verde Valley School is a unique place characterized by cultural diversity, open-mindedness, kindness, and dedication to world citizenship. I feel incredibly blessed that my children's formative years have been, and continue to be, so profoundly influenced by this intentional community. The academics are rigorous, and the teachers are as committed to my children inside the classroom as they are outside. My children are known and valued, and get to learn and grow in one of the most stunning settings on the planet. What more could a parent ask for during the high school years!... Read 23 reviews

Parent: We moved to Sedona in 2020 so our experience has been atypical compared to most years, however, we have had an excellent experience so far and highly recommend Sedona Charter School. Our kids thrive in smaller classrooms with individualized attention and that is exactly what we have found here. The teachers are communicative and responsive. The community is so kind and supportive that friendships came quickly. Once they were able to be back on campus our kids reported a great, safe environment where people have their close friends, but everyone gets along with everyone. And they both LOVE their teachers! The online program has been fun and engaging for the kids with a nice balance of live instruction and self-directed work. Our kids are challenged, but never overwhelmed. Of course the in-person experience is even better and we are excited for the near future when that is the daily reality. The school really has navigated this crazy year well and we know it will only get better.... Read 34 reviews

Alum: Flagstaff High School had a great community and an awesome faculty that cares about you. Courses are well prepared with a variety of difficulty. Athletics are excellent and engaging whether you are a player or spectator. School spirit is present and overall a lot of fun. I went for all 4 years and enjoyed my time there. As Flagstaff is generally a small town, the school was not overwhelmingly large, and the campus is very east to navigate and get the hang of. My graduating class was 400 students so not too big and not too small. I would encourage you to try out for a variety of sports and clubs and engage with what the school has to offers. There's often assemblies that are a lot of fun and gives a good idea of the plans for the year. Motivational speakers often come to share their advice which honestly really helps and it's interesting to hear their stories. To get the most out of your experience here, you have to make an effort to receive a good experience.... Read 311 reviews

Junior: GWUOHS is a fantastic school! The teachers are supportive and always willing to help out students. Teachers provide all the materials and help needed for students that want it, but at the same time, they give independence to the student. From personal experience, I have always had attentive and very friendly teachers. The class connects allow for interactive learning and collaboration for classes and clubs. Clubs at GWUOHS are also a lot of fun and are primarily run by students. Students can start their own clubs with a teacher sponsor and structure them how they would like. In creating a club or being a leader in a club, teachers offer as much assistance as students want and are always there for advice and connecting students. GWUOHS also has opportunities to showcase leadership and skills to colleges through honor societies, student government, competitive scholarships, and more. I truly am lucky to attend GWUOHS and would not want to have my high school experience anywhere else!... Read 37 reviews

Senior: I really like the teachers at Sedona, they would make us try to do our best. They would push us to our max.I was really scared starting high school freshman year but the teachers made me feel safe. I’ve played for years of soccer can we build friendships in our team but this year I felt like we were family. Our school makes our safety you’re number one priority we have one fire drill every month and other drills. We get talks many things to make sure we do the right thing.... Read 75 reviews

Works Here: Bullis is amazing! I am so impressed with the curriculum. Teachers challenge students academically, yet they incorporate a joyful hands-on learning experience. The enriching opportunities are endless in academics, arts, athletics, and service, which provides a well-rounded education and cultivates respect for others, confidence, and the joy of discovery. Faculty, students, and parents are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I grew up in the DC area and assumed a different experience. However, the modern-day folklore that lingers — nothing could be further from the truth! Everyone I've met is genuinely kind, caring, and helpful. I am thrilled to be a part of the Bullis community.... Read 112 reviews

Parent: Our Lady of Victory is a close-knit community where each child is nurtured to become his or her best self, both academically and spiritually. The academics are top-notch, and the school provides a rigorous curriculum, particularly in math and STEM.
