Senior: I feel the experience and expertise level of several teachers is well above the standard compared to other area schools. When I was in regents courses, I felt very prepared for the end of year exams because our teachers made sure we had enough time to prepare but also review everything. There is also a great music department which has always put on great concerts from the time I was young through my tenure at Saranac. Several musicians in the past 10 years have been members of state wide bands. The athletics at Saranac also excel, as many teams make it past sectional play and we are the home of Individual State Champions of Wrestling and Track and Field along with Sectional winning squads of Wrestling, Football, Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Baseball, Softball, and Soccer all within the past decade. Many students like myself have been proud to call themselves a Saranac Chief for all these reasons and more. There is great opportunity at Saranac, and that is evident.

Alum: I loved that Peru High School is a smaller than usual high school and with that, there becomes a strong community that helps each other. However, the smaller the school is, the resources are also small. Additionally, there is a serious lack of diversity and the academics are questionable at times, however, in a general sense, it does encourage students to do their best and attend college or employment. With the expanding science and technology programs, it'll be easier for students to pursue their areas of interest.
