Alum: I had a wonderful experience at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School. I transferred in from a public junior high, and in my four years at Thomas Jefferson, my education was transformed. There is a huge emphasis on college readiness in all of the courses, and special seminars and activities offered by the school only helped prepare me more. The only drawback of the school is the size and culture, as it was a bit of a shock going from a graduating class of less than thirty with very limited freedom to a large university without anyone coddling me. Overall, it is an amazing school academically, just make sure that the academic pressure doesn't result in a lack of social skills by the time you graduate...Read 40 Reviews

Junior: I love that I was given the opportunity to be given an excellent education with a Biblical worldview in mind. The teachers care about the students, and chapel is an amazing time that is set aside to worship God and learn more about him. Our missions week program is a wonderful opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus. This school has equipped me with motivation as I begin transitioning into being an adult. If I could change one thing about my school, it would be to focus more on the mental health of the students and to give a better understanding of its impact. I've found that the homework load combined with the many extracurricular activities I've been involved in has given me a lot of stress as well as some anxiety. I still appreciate this school immensely and wouldn't choose any other school over it...Read 54 Reviews

Sophomore: I believe that Sarcoxie High school is one of the best schools for academics around. We have a lot of really good programs that have been put in place lately, such as the supper program which feeds kids after school that may not get another meal at home. Another thing is the new football, softball, and baseball fields...Read 15 Reviews

Parent: Our daughter attended Orchard House School and is now a senior in high school, preparing to transition to college next fall. OHS was the perfect place for her to learn, grow, and navigate the challenges of adolescence, while gaining a level of confidence that has propelled her throughout the past four years. She learned to think critically, write clearly and succinctly, and develop and articulate her opinions. We love OHS...Read 10 Reviews

Parent: We researched several schools both public and faith based and were curious what offerings the school provided that made the tuition higher than parochial schools. Academy of the Sacred Heart is a giant leap above other schools. The Academy of the Sacred Heart has very high standards of academic achievement as well as high standards of teaching them to grow into generous globally conscious individuals. The school excels in STEM and also in the arts and foreign language. Band starts in third grade! My husband is a public school teacher and noted several textbooks for 6th graders, were the same that 7th graders use in MO public schools. Students are learning a year ahead of the public school system. We are thrilled with the growth & development our children have received. The class sizes are meant to be small with a max of 16 students per class to ensure students are getting the attention to thrive and excel. All the other schools paled in comparison to the Academy of the Sacred Heart...Read 24 Reviews
