Parent: As a 3rd generation SB family, I can say we absolutely love St. Bernard’s! There are so many aspects that we love including the small student-teacher ratio, the rigor of the academics, the feeling of my children being in a safe environment and the family atmosphere to name just a few. The teachers truly care about the students and their lives inside AND outside the school walls...Read 27 Reviews

Parent: My daughter graduated from Thacher last year and I must say that it was a truly transformational experience for her. While studying in a rigorous academic environment, she often spoke of how there was a spirit of cooperation amongst her peers and how her teachers were accessible. She was able to participate in many activities - athletics, performing arts, clubs, etc... during her time at Thacher. While busy, she wasn't overwhelmed. That is what I heard most often from her peers at other independent schools in our home town. Thumbs up to Thacher for preparing my daughter well for life!...Read 95 Reviews

Parent: My daughter began attending St. Bernadette School in the 7th Grade following our move to Northern Virginia. We couldn't be more pleased with her experience. The teachers, staff, student and parents are dedicated, kind, and caring. They helped her transition to a rigorous Catholic education, including first-time instruction in religion, grammar, cursive, and Spanish. The school is part of a vibrant parish; the priests are about campus and in the classroom. St. Bernadette School is Catholic education at its best!...Read 34 Reviews

Junior: The Covenant School has a loving and welcoming Christian atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Being a smaller school, the class sizes are perfect for getting more personalized assistance. The teachers are always happy to help their students. I have made a small group of friends here who I'm very close to. Each grade does have their cliques or friend groups, but everyone socializes with other people as well. My few complaints are: ...1. There's no health or mental health class2. Some teachers are a little too open about their political opinions (LGBTQ+ views and more)3. Being a college preparatory school, the workload can be quite challenging, especially with required sports and electivesOverall, I highly recommend this school to all. I'm sure that once I graduate, I will look back with many fond memories.Read 33 Reviews
